Hi. My name is Tammy and I have been like a roller coaster (most of my life) with maintaining or trying to maintain, my weight. I am 45 and weigh 226 lbs as of now. My goal (primarily) is to get to wonderful 100's. Or Onederland as some call it. My second goal is to make it to between 140 lbs. and 160 lbs. So I have about 86 lbs. I want and need to lose. I have high blood pressure and I am taking a low dose medication for that. My blood work had been more on the higher end of the good scale but too close for my liking to the bad level so I have really wanted to eat healthy and clean and try to get healthy as much as losing weight. For me, it most certainly is NOT all about looks. I want to feel good, and be healthy and looking good will just be a bonus. Recently, as an Aunt and brother-in-law of mine have had great success with the Low Carb High Fat Diet (LcHF) I have started doing it. Some of it goes against anything I've ever thought of being healthy... like eating high fat foods like Bacon. BUT... I have to say. I did it for 3 weeks last month and my blood levels were all much better. My blood pressure was the lowest it has been in 10 or more years. So this is the diet I am currently doing and plan to keep doing as long as I see good results. I lost 9.6 lbs last month. Then gained almost 5 back the last week of December. Sorry this is so long. Just wanted to give you an idea of what I am doing. I will support you no matter your food choice is. I hope to hear from you. God Bless.9

My sister has been a huge Keto inspiration for me. I've seen her completely transform her life in the last year. I keep saying I'm going to do this and then I get in my own way. Well, it's time to do it!2

I'm a keto/low-carb diabetic who's used the diet to maintain excellent glycaemic control for over 6 years now. Feel free to say "hi" anytime!

Hello, I just started and so far so good (I think).1

Hi! I've been doing keto for like 3 months. I love it. I don't over eat like I used to, I have more energy and better humor. Carbs are not a temptation anymore (including sugar). Thank you for inviting to make friends!2

Just started doing LCHF / Keto. Still learning the difference of higher fat, less protein, etc.3

Hi!!!! I'm back on the keto wagon. I lost 35 lbs last year but then gained 2/3 of it back due to stress eating and quitting smoking. But I'm back and ready to give it my all! Day 3 and I can tell it's kicking in2

Hi! Just started this journey 4 days ago. I have lots of questions but I like it so far!2

On it and love it. My skin looks and feels amazing , probably from the copious amounts of coconut oil I've been having now.. Only thing is I do have a carb up every Sunday (I can afford this, not trying to lose much more weight but rather reduce BF % and gain lean muscle) and I feel like shite that night and the day after. Worth it though1

I am on my 4th day.1

Regarding protein on LCHF: too much protein will turn into glucose and kick you out of ketosis.
