There are typically two physical mini-challenge workouts per week. They are not very strenuous and can always be modified to accommodate injuries or other extenuating circumstances. Examples MAY include: Stair climbing, Salsa Dancing, Walking a 5K, Tai Chi, Small Weight Lifting to Videos, etc. Each mini-challenge usually takes no more than 20-30 minutes per week and can be spread out over the entire week.

The "exercise a minute for a mile" is done by each player so that his/her team travels the required distance to reach the next destination. The exercise is that which you do above and beyond your normal activities during a day. For example one hour of Zumba = 60 "miles' for your team. The teams will be required to "travel" approximately 5000 miles per week, therefore each racer should plan on doing at least approximately 250 minutes of exercise per week. The minutes spent on the mini-challenges can also be counted toward your "mile minutes".
