Gym Lookers

Do people look at you at the gym when you work out? How do you respond? Are you one of these people who just stares at people at the gym? Personally don't like it when I notice people looking at me. So many things to do, so many things to look at, don't stare at me.

Are you sure they are staring at you? Could be what's around you (i.e. TV, equipment, someone else).10
-
90 percent of the time I'm sure. Because as soon as I notice, they look away.2
-
Maybe you just think they are looking at you but they aren't.
Maybe they find you attractive and people like to look at attractive things. When I first started going to the gym no one checked me out, now I get the looks. No biggie. If you are focused on your own work out it shouldn't matter.6 -
Really depends whose staring and how they looking at you. But yeah most of the time, I want my space.0

I just stand around doing curls and winking at everyone.24

No, but I'm ugly.7

Sometimes looks can be unintentional.
If I'm on the treadmill for 90+ minutes then at some point I'm gonna fix my gaze in one place and be thinking if another.
In a busy gym, it might be somebody on equipment in front!
That said - staring for the sake of staring isn't overly cool!4 -

I'd check you out, especially if you are carrying heavy things.4 -

If that's you in your profile photo - you're certainly not ugly!

I beg to differ; quite the contrary.2 -
if someone is using a piece of equipment that I want to use, I stand just 3 feet away while looking at my watch and tapping my foot in anticipation
so, no.... I don't look directly at them.5 -

I was being facetious. I'm not ugly ALL the time - but I definitely am when I roll into the gym at 5 am.
I'm also kind of in love with whoever marked my post as "insightful".6 -
I stare back until I make it awkward...for the other person. I'm good at not blinking...it's creepy.2

Lol that was me, when are we getting married?3 -
Nope. If they are I don't even notice because I'm concentrating too much on not falling off the treadmill.8

Count it as a compliment! I occasionally experienced that in my 20's but am now invisible in my 50's! Trust me, it is more worrisome when people stop looking!10 -
I think it's mainly because I'm super self-conscious at the gym and that's maybe the reason I think people are looking at me? Idk.0

That make sense. I've looked at people without clothes before. Y'all asking for it.4 -

I look all around the place. I'm not staring at particular people, I'm just noticing the general goings-on. I don't mind if people happen to look at me. It might bother me if some creeper were intently staring, wiping away the drool, but that never happens. I think most of the "looks" you're getting are probably just people glancing around and you just happen to be in their field of vision.5

I won't overly stare ...Hate 2 make a female feel incredibly uncomfortable while they work out ... (Don't wanna be "that guy" ) But everyone looks4

You have a young and attractive face, something known to catch the eye of the opposite gender (especially when they are avoiding their next set).
Some people like the attention but perhaps you should 'dress down'(?), saying with no idea how you dress at the gym.1 -

I just don't see how one can train with a ring getting in a way unless ofcourse it's a cardio session.3
