Here are a few examples of the sodium in some sodas I have in my house.
Coke zero: 30mg for 355ml
Diet mtn dew: 30mg for 355ml
Noname diet orange:30 mg for 250 ml
I'm guessing the rest are similar. What's scary about 30mg of sodium?
Here's some more "scary" sodium containing foods:
1 celery stalk: 30mg sodium
30g spinach (1 cup chopped): 24mg sodium
67g kale (1 cup chopped): 25mg sodium

Zomg, so that's why those foods are so heavy with so few calories; the sodium is making them retain water.11 -

I love adding a tbsp of salt to my soda - so refreshing and nutritious!
I have known people who do that with beer. Not a tablespoon but salted beer. Think it's a Midwest thing.
That seriously is so disgusting!
Corona+salt and lime is definitely a thing I have seen a lot, and I am firmly east coast.
That's the only salted beer I've ever seen, and I am in Chicago.
I'm in Ohio and that's the only salted beer I know about. I do love the salt on margaritas. Mmm.0 -

For someone who must maintain a very low sodium intake for medical reasons they may not want to nickel and dime away their daily allowance on soda. So for those folks it may be to much. But for most of us that is not a high amount of sodium. So yeah. As was stated Dr. Oz must be telling secrets again.2
