I walk between 1.5-5 hours depending on the day with relative ease.

Do you have a heart rate monitor? And is it something your doctor recommends? I'm just curious if there is a correlation between your heart working too fast and your fatigue.
I'd take it easy until you can check with the doctor. Maybe just do 1 of your exercises per day (15 mins) until you can see him.

Yes I have a heart rate monitor. The highest I'm allowed to let my heart rate get is 140 which is 75% of my maximum heart rate.

Do you see any correlation between HR and feeling tired? Or does it not seem to matter?

And I'm really only curious at this point. I have no real advice to give.

    No correlation at all.

For the past 3 weeks I've been doing brisk walking at a incline of 6 or more everyday. My heart doctor cleared me the other day to start using my elliptical again. I've been doing 30 min of brisk walking at a incline of 6 or more AND doing 30 min on the elliptical the past couple days.

Yesterday after working out I felt extremely drained the rest of the day. So I decided to take today off.

I figured since I'm pretty sedentary throughout the day other than cleaning the house and exercise it would be ok to workout everyday. But everything I've read says 5 days a week is sufficient.

    What's everyone's opinion on this?

Are you trying to lose weight? Or just stay healthy? Why are you seeing a heart doctor?

You mentioned a heart Dr and palpatations. Even though you were cleared for exercise maybe there is still an underlying issue? I definitely would seek medical advise outside of the forum ( even a second medical opinion ) If you aren't feeling well I would strive for 30 minutes 5x a week . If you want to do more ( though not necessary for weight loss) try adding in 5 minute increments.

I have Afib and mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation. My doctor is on vacation at the moment.

    From the first page.

Huh. I guess that would suggest to me that taking it easy won't be of much help. But I'm not a heart doctor and did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night, so what do I know :)

I think he's answering the title question, not telling OP what to do.
