Looking for friends and people I can talk to who are currently on the BulletProof diet. If you don't know what it is, I am sorry but I am looking for people currently on the diet to compair notes with. It is the best "Keto" type diet I have tried and I think it is very healthy with consistent weight loss. Your thoughts? PLEASE!!! If you don't like a Keto type diet, do write on this thread. I hate who are just looking to be mean. Thank you!

A quick little Google led me to this..

Looks like paleo. Nothing earth shattering.
I found this little nugget in the "Key Points"...
Do not count calories in an attempt to lose weight. Eat until satiety and then stop.2 -

Actually pretty sure bulletproof is closer to paleo, although it's kind of a hybrid in that butter isn't permitted on strict paleo. (I also think Asprey is a scam artist, but whatever.)
Bulletproof coffee always makes me sad, as I love black coffee and it seems a shame to ruin coffee with butter and coconut oil, blech.
The title of this thread keeps making me think of La Roux's song:

Hm, in reading it, it certainly does sound closer to paleo than keto. I know people doing keto drink bulletproof coffee, but I think some paleo people do as well. Of course, the whole plan is about more than just the coffee.
The heavy emphasis on the grass-fed and organic sourcing makes me think paleo.1 -
Keto is just a macro setting with carbs usually under 50g. Paleo, primal, vegetarian, carnivore... these are all ways of eating that can be used to hit that macro, chosen because the food is enjoyed, it improves health, and what not.
I myself am closer to a primal keto'er since I incorporate dairy into my diet (a no-no on paleo).
Asprey's diet is paleo primal based with macros on the low end of the spectrum, IMO.2 -
This is really fun and informative to listen to all of you. I was Paleo (hense my name here) and went to BulletProof. They both have really good attributes but I love the BulletProof Coffee because it is so creamy and I can't do any dairy. Both are all about improving your health and getting rid of all the really bad processed foods and unhealthy high carbs - bread, pop, sugar etc. Thanks for all the great input. I wish you the best on this journey.0

Hey nvmomketo just remember that Paleo is 85/15%. So there is lots of room for dairy on Paleo if that is what you want. I much prefer myself the grassfed organic butter to ghee. My body had no problems with butter. Ice Cream or Milk is an entirely different thing though. I have learned to really enjoy Cashew or Almond Milk when/if I want it. Thanks for your awsome input.0 -

The last step, in the step-by-step guide is 'enjoy your food'.
If you think you can follow it sure, But the best advice for sticking to it seems to be from Yoni Freedhoff
If you don't like the life you're living, you're not going to keep living that way.
Not just the OP, but I wonder why people go for very specific and restrictive plans. Realising I didn't have to was very freeing for me.

I finally had a chance to look at the diet and the foods not allowed and I agree, Paleo seems to be the right one. I only had a chance to see the "quick" version which showed 5% carbs 20% protien 75% fats (Asprey), which is the same as the ketogenic eating plan that I follow, I didn't think Paleo was that low in carbs.0 -

I eat all these things and I'm in excellent health, with a bmi of 21. Best of luck to you OP, I sincerely hope you find something that works for you, for the long term.1
