    So this one time I made a friend on the train into work. I would say good morning, how was your day and I eventually got a jade heart pendant and my gym bag carried to my elevator bank. I don't think I flirted. After that day I sat in a different train car.

    Same. It doesn't help at all that I'm the type to earnestly compliment other people's accomplishments/attributes. I'm also pretty intense (at least, that's what I've been repeatedly told), so that's another thing I have to watch out for lest I be seen as trying to flirt when I'm really, really not. It can be really frustrating at times.
