We go to Costco once every 2 months. Below are a few of my staples.
- Meats. All the meats. Ground Beef, chicken, steaks (love costco filets), pork, etc. When I get home I wrap them in my food saver in portions (1 lb ground beef, 2 steaks, etc.) and freeze.
- Rotisserie Chickens
- Bacon - I always have pounds of it in my freezer. It is good and so much cheaper that traditional grocery stores, so I stock up.
- Chicken Broth
- Frozen Turkey Sausage Patties (my husband loves these)
- Individual Creme Brulees (they only have these every once in a while, but they are the perfect little treat!)
- Bags of Pecans and Almonds (I stock up and freeze then season and roast for whatever sounds good at the moment, sweet or savory)
- Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter!!! I always have boxes of this in my freezer. I think right now I have like 8 boxes in my freezer.
- Misc. things, like toilet paper, paper towels, clorox wipes, ziploc bags, venus razors, etc.
- Melatonin. Both DH and I use this every night so it is a staple in my house.
Costco has THE Best price on the dissolvable melatonin.2 -
Regarding the rotisserie chickens: as others have said they are huge and only $4.99.
I'm probably the only person on the planet who isn't totally a fan of them. I will eat them if it's convenient, but I find the texture of the breast meat to be funny sometimes. They are definitely injected with a high amount of sodium solution to make the juicy and tender and I think that too much of that tends to make the texture of the meat funky. These days, I've been getting my rotisserie chickens from Wegman's. Also $4.99 but a bit smaller and they seem more like chicken and less processed.
I like rotisserie chicken from Sprouts, even Krogers. But not the Costco ones, for some reason.0 -

Even though I have a premier membership I rarely go because it's a 30 mile drive, always crowded, and I can't get out of there without spending $200+. When I do go I always get:
Rotisserie chicken
Jarlsberg cheese
Pickled asparagus
Natural peanut butter
Mixed nuts
Trio bars
Broccoli florets
Balela chickpea salad (Pita Pal) - so good!
Kirkland brand heartburn meds (for the husband)
and, of course
Wine!

If you're not buying Costco toilet paper you're doing it wrong.
And this bath wash.

The worst part for me is people blocking the aisles while they eat their free samples.6 -

Someone mentioned bacon. I find the Costco (Cdn) bacon to be about the worst I've had. It's one thing I don't buy there. But it is my go to place for meat. Good rib eye in a 3 pack. We cook 1 to share between the 2 of us and freeze 2 for later.
Also, can't buy any alcohol there.0 -
I love Costco!
-Sweet potato kale salad. I really wished this would make a return!
- Superfood salad with cranberries and poppyseed dressing. Delicious!
- Rotisserie chicken.
- Mische style bread. So good!
- Dinner rolls from the bakery.
- Croissants.
- Nonni's croutons are incredible!
- Tuxedo cake is VERY tasty!
- GH cretors Chicago popcorn mix... caramel and cheese in one bag. Epic!
- The hotdogs, smoke meat sandwiches, poutine, fries and pizza from the food court are all great.1 -
Where is the superfood salad in Costco? I need to try this!
I buy organic eggs, organic chicken and ground beef, bison, Cabot sharp cheddar cheese (so much cheaper and better), Normandy frozen veggies, frozen fish, the superfoods protein powder for smoothies, oatmeal, walnuts, pecans, organic sugar, GF bread, organic tortilla chips, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.

Costco actually makes a loss on their toilet paper. But it drives so much store traffic that they make it up in other sales (who has ever gone to Costco and come out with just 1 item??)
I will add:
Their whole coffee beans in the green packet. My favorite coffee ever.
Greek yogurt
Steak
Stuffed peppers
Kirkland lasagnas (2 pack and really good)
Kirkland blue cheese
Berries
The birthday cakes are amazing. Great for kids parties as they feed so many and are delicious.
Their diapers are really good but I switched to Aldi's cos they're so much cheaper.1 -

The people at my store grab like 6 samples from each cart and then run to the next cart. I swear they are eating lunch and dinner at one time.2
