I figured out today that I can finally afford to move out on my own but I confess I'm really afraid of having to move back home if I run out of money. I'll feel like I failed, like I'm doing with so many other things lately.
Its like any change in life, very daunting at the beginning. Never be afraid of failure though, thats part of life too, and all the experiences it brings. So worst case, you would be back to where you were, thats not terrible, and you can try and try again

I confess,
I feel like a bit of an *kitten* for not being more devestated by my grandmas death. I try and justify if by saying she had been fighting camcer for 8 years, and I've been expecting it the last 3 years. I mean I loved her, and it's sad. But. I don't even know.0 -

Sometimes death is a blessing for those that have been suffering. It doesn't mean you cared for that person less and certainly doesn't mean your a pos for not feeling about it. It can be selfish on the survivors part to really want them to hold on through never ending suffering.7 -

Well said. It's hard to let someone go, I know, but often it's for the best. And if it's been awhile coming you've have time to already start accepting5 -
@synchkat exactly. When you know it's coming you start going through your own grief process. My point @cjohnsonss is don't beat yourself up over it. Death isn't always something to be mourned. Celebrate their life and your good memories with family and friends.4

I confess my dad's an alcoholic. In my younger years I stayed away from alcohol because I didn't want to be like him. I have been through so much these past 6 months that I've have found myself using alcohol to cope. Tonight I made the choice to change that.12

But I've seen curse words here I'm sure.. Do people replace their curse word with kitten or does MFP automatically change every swear word to kitten? Because that'd be hilarious

Okaaay! Since we're talking about MY username I initially side stepped your question because it leads into a possible discussion I didn't want to have. [no jabs at you] But I chose it as a username so I guess it's bound to raise some questions.

One of my favorite people in the world is having heart surgery tomorrow. He's young too, 4 years younger than me. He's the salt of the earth & the whole situation seems so unfair. His wife is having a baby (their 3rd) in March. I'm sure everything will be fine, but I'm beside myself. I can't sleep a wink. So I'm up late on mfp dicking around...3
