5' - 5'3" females- want to lose 25-30 lbs

I've been spicing up my food more- like curry, cumin, and such. I made cookies today, and ate one that fell apart. Yes, I licked the bowl too. Knowing that my weight loss will take all year, I'm gonna splurge a little. I didn't eat a half dozen, chasing it down with salty foods (or visa versa). I'd like the exercise to help me keep losing slowly and permanently. _toyatip08, congrats on the NSV!2

Hey there everyone! I'd like to join, too!
Fellow shortie 5'1". Currently 145 and goal weight is 120. I'm so sick of thinking about my weight all the time. I want this to be the year!
Anyone have a favorite breakfast they want to share? I'm trying to find something that is easy to bring to work. Right now it is usually 1/2 a sweet potato.
happy sunday,

Every morning is the same for me. 2 eggs, over easy. I use about 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil on a non stick pan. 2 slices of a high quality whole wheat bread, toasted with 1/8 of a tablespoon of butter. The butter is just enough to enjoy the flavor of butter. 342 calories. On occasion, I'll add some jam.
A breakfast with protein is a must for me!2 -
Sunday Weigh In -- Finishing Week #10 (70 days)

The good news is that even when tempted this week, I've stayed true to my mission! I know I've lost weight. The bummer news is I ended up at the doctor on Friday where I learned what I'd feared. The viral infection I've had for what seems like forever turned to a bacterial infection. I'm now on the mend. I know the low number on my scale isn't all earned so I'll wait till next Sunday to post. I'm disappointed cause this happen just when I'm ready to drop below 140 and approaching my 1/2 way point but it isn't something I had control over. What I did have control of was only doing the treadmill on Monday. When I realized my resting heart rate on Tuesday was 107, I knew I was sicker than I realized and made the decision to eliminate the exercise. The decision I'm proudest of was when I went to the store, sick as a dog, looking for food and comfort. In the past I would have bought ice cream. Cool and soothing. I didn't. I knew I couldn't find real comfort in high calorie food - not in the long run.
Wishing everyone a week of good decision making over everything you have control over!5 -
Anyone want to do a 15-day Challenge with me?
I'm trying this mainly for the diet plan, because my work-outs are great, but I can't see the results because of my imperfect nutrition.
I'm starting on 2/20Monday.
Join me.
Thanks,
Amanda

Eggs aren't a bad idea, but I have high cholesterol and that's flirting with danger. One is ok, but 2 yolks puts me over for the day. I've noticed that just oatmeal isn't enough to hold me until lunch. How about Low/no fat cottage cheese with oats and fruit mixed in? I sometimes have that for lunch. You get lots of fiber with your protein, and some berries are easy because no cutting needed.0

I like to scramble one egg and then add a couple egg whites. That way I get the good stuff in the yolk, but not enough to up the cholesterol, and then there is lots of protein in the whites so it makes the whole scrambled egg or omelet go farther in filling me up for longer. I don't like eggs enough to eat them everyday, but when I do this is how I do it. Throw in some veggies for extra goodness!1 -
Add me as well please. I'm 5'3" looking to lose no more than 40lbs, also wanting to have more female friends.2

I just looked at my first post on this strand -- it was Dec. 7th, and I was so happy to have lost 20 lbs. -- I was at 132. I was exuberant about what I had discovered after SO MANY YEARS (decades! ) of WANTING to lose 20 lbs, but not actually doing it. Since so many new members on here are also wanting to lose 20-30 lbs.(or more), I will say it again -- logging the calories, being accountable, and focusing on healthy eating is what has done it for me. I count the calories -- MFP has me at 1200/day, and most days I make it! If I do a power yoga class (I try to do one every other day), I get an extra 300 calories which, of course, I try not to use! I was given a Wednesday weigh in day way back then, and I think I've kept to it, logging in every Wednesday to "report." So -- I would suggest those two things -- track the calories everyday -- EVERYTHING -- it keeps you accountable -- and post CW every week on a "weigh in" day. My "diet" centers on eating greens and protein, veggies, fruit, and a glass of red wine every single day! Also, I usually end the day with a Yasso bar (frozen yogurt) -- I like the Mint Chocolate Chip.
Good luck everyone!

I would love to be part of a group, I'm admitting finally that I need some extra support. I lost 30 lbs 3 years ago using MFP and felt great! Even maintained it for a couple of years. After dealing with some family medical issues and holidays, those 30 lbs found me in a year. I want that old me back! How do we join a group? Do we just keep coming back to this thread to check in?
I'm currently 170 lbs, 5'3. Looking to lose 25-30 lbs.
We got this!4 -

Hi Beachme! (Love the name) -- so, this isn't really a "group" -- but some of us (I think Daisy started the strand) post regularly -- like my post above, I check in weekly with my weight-- and we just generally post what's on our minds...all supportive to help us get to our goals. Keep checking in!1 -
Good Morning! I joined this community of supporters on 12/9/2016 and I started at 164.8 and now I am 150.6! I'm finally back to my old weight. Now I am pressing towards my goal weight of 135. Great job to those who are staying in the fight with me. Have a fantabulous Friday! Be blessed.5

I've lost 18 pounds! Going to go to the grocery store and gather up 18 pounds of fatty meat so I can fully appreciate my accomplishment! No luck finding trousers for work but did find a size 8 jeans in a box in my closet. They fit really well and look terrific!
Coming off of being sick, I'll need a level of exercise that is modest, without being lazy. Starting is always harder for me than maintaining, so I'll have to dig deep to make this happen. Hope everyone has a week of keeping their eye on the prize!3 -
I'm 5'2, 150lbs and need to lose 20lbs of fat. Looking for anyone eating in the 1500-1800 calorie range.0
