When I was doing the green smoothie diet, I lost 10 pounds! Now that I am off the smoothie challenge, my weight refuse to get any lower than 319 pounds! Yesterday I was 319 and today I am 319! then I stepped on the scale 5 mins later I am 320.4!. I have the urge the poop, but I am constipated. I have been 320/319 for almost 3 weeks

If you're constipated, that is extra mass being counted in your scale weight.
If your scale gives multiple reading 5 minutes apart you may need batteries or a better scale.
You don't say anything about how many calories you are consuming in a day. Or if you're tracking calories accurately, completely, and honestly every day?9 -
Do you understand how weight loss and scales work?23
-
I've been told that it could take up to a month for our bodies to 'catch-up' on what we are doing to it. I lost the first 2 weeks - the 3rd week I was the exact same. Today was the 1st time in 3 weeks the scale went down. Our bodies are used to being shoveled with food and when we take it away/restrict our caloric intake it doesn't know what to do so it needs time to adjust to what it will be given daily to burn. Good Luck!2

you lost mainly water on the smoothie diet...
a) sort out your constipation issues
b) start eating in a deficit25 -

Eat foods that help with constipation to solve that trouble.
As for losing, are you logging food? Have a deficit? Exercising? Drinking a ton of water? Sleeping a good amount? So many factors.2 -
"Smoothies" are great for water weight loss initially. If you aren't losing, it's because you're consuming more than you need to.

If you can't lose weight at 320lbs then you are doing something very very wrong.
How many calories a day do you eat?

Hi you guys,
I eat only 1900 to 2000 cals a day. Yesterday I did not have a chance to do my full workout and I am believing that is the reason for not dropping numbers or pooping as I should. I also snack a lot during the day.3 -
If 1900-2000 is your intake, for 320 pounds, then you should be able to lose weight over time. "Over time" is the key though. You won't lose weight each day, or even each week. SOmetimes water weight masks what is going on.
Give it 4-6 weeks. Eat 1900-2000, log EVERYTHING as accurately as possible. And check your weight weekly. On March 17, compare your weight then to now. It should be lower.DeterminedbyGod wrote: »Hi you guys,

Exercise is not what causes you to lose weight, calorie intake is. Exercise has benefits and helps you burn calories, but overall the amount of calories you eat is what causes the weight loss. Do you weigh your food? Do you log every lick/bite/taste?12 -

I will continue doing this, but this is becoming discouraging0 -

I don't wish to be brutal but please take one step back. Look at the numbers from a distance, you're over 300 lb, it's not 1lb more or less that makes the difference.
Stick to the diet, do the work, and stop obsessing for 1lb when you have so many to work off yourself. It's going to be a long way, don't get stuck now, it really isn't worth spending energy on...12 -
Also, pick one day per week where you weigh in, like Thursday. Wake up, go to the bathroom, then weigh. Put your scale away for the rest of the week. Water fluctuations are normal and caused by all sorts of factors that you can't completely manage (such as starting your period, I went up 5 pounds overnight due to that just this week).1

The constipation could just be your body adapting to coming off the green smoothies and the resulting drop in liquid and fibre. Drink plenty and increase the amount of fruit and veg you are eating and see if that helps.4
-
How much water are you drinking and how many grams of fat per day do you consume? How about fibre?2

You still have unreasonable goals.

There are mistakes that people commonly make that cause them to not lose weight that we might be able to spot if you change your Diary Sharing settings to Public: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings2

How long have you been diligently logging your calories and staying at or under your calorie limit?
(Make sure you've got lots of fruit and veg in your diet, and that you're drinking a couple litres of water each day)0 -

Drink a bunch of water, eat some dried fruit, drink some prune juice, eat some vegetables, go for a walk... that should help get things moving.2 -
Don't weigh yourself so often. Everything in you has weight and almost all of the changes you see within the week are not fat gain/loss. A 16 oz bottle of water is a little over a pound. Your weight can also be influenced by your cycle. The difference between one day and the next is absolutely meaningless.
Frequent weighing is better for your intake. Measure/weigh everything. Nutrition labels may say 2 of something is a serving size but unless the two you pick weigh exactly as much as they should, your calories will be incorrect. Same with peanut butter, salad dressings, and any non-liquid you measure in a measuring spoon or cup, grams are king. If you cook with any kind of oil, you have to record that too.0 -

Are you eating enough fat? While fiber and water can help, if there is not enough fat in a person's diet it will result in constipation as well.2 -

Don't be discouraged! You can do it. Promise. It takes time and practice, but I promise it's doable.0 -
In the morning before eating or drinking anything, make a strong cup of coffee and add 1TBS of coconut oil, chug it down.
Magnesium- Oxide or citrate work best. Take 2-3 tablets before bed on an empty stomach.
Lots of water.
25g Psyillium husk powder daily helps keep me regular. But i'm not keen to recommend this to you just yet, as a large dose of fibre too soon can sometimes make constipation worse.
I try to ensure i go every day, i feel terrible when i miss 1 single day, let a lone multiple days in a row. Get your bowels in order, and then worry about the scale weight.4 -

It does sometimes for me too. But on the odd occasion i need to bring out the big guns, and adding coconut oil works like a charm.7 -

I know... so sort that out first, then come back to the weight loss...3
