Heart rate zones for weight loss

Has anyone had success losing weight doing cardio while maintaining a 60-70% heart rate? According to several articles this is the zine that allows your body to look for fat storage for energy.

Another question, heart rate monitor or watch? Which tends to be more accurate?

    I've had a heart rate monitor strap right below my chest, as well as a watch which measures heart rate. I think that the heart rate monitor for me was more accurate than the watch. The watch comes close though. I like that the watch (fitbit charge 2) can provide what my resting heart rate is, as well as how much sleep I get, etc.

    I have a garmin 225 which is a wrist monitor, I love it.

    Google "heart rate zone myth" for an explanation of what that's irrelevant for losing body fat. We lose fat only on days where we consume fewer calories than we burn.. regardless of how we exercise. :+1:

    I find I have the best weight loss results inbetween a 250-500 calorie burn

    I bought the Samsung gear fit 2. Price played a major factor. I couldn't justify spending over $150 even though I do feel (after some feedback

    Agreed NorthCascades, but I I've read that the intensity of your workout affects the results. That's what meant by losing weight .. working in the fat burning heart rate zone (which monitors help to track).

    Because of my knees, running isn't an option so I use the incline and speed during my cardio to get my heart rate up. Trying to incorporate FIIT concept. Not sure if this is the best approach but I'd like to have a constant for my heart rate.
