I just split it open, pull the pit, and go at it with a spoon until I hit rind.0 -
Love avocado - just plain, maybe a bit of salt and pepper. Sometimes make an avocado hummus. So yummy!0

            cottage cheese0

Avocado, sliced tomato, fresh mozzarella, all drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and a sprinkling of black pepper. Heaven.1

Firm ripe avocado slices on whole wheat toast, topped with tomato slices&pepper-delicious!1

Toast an English muffin, spread with mashed avocado, sprinkle with smoked tabasco, top with slices of hard-boiled egg, sprinkle with Tony's creole seasoning. I'll eat this for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack.0

I love avocados. 12 years ago, I went through a phase that lasted about a year where I ate one every single day. There aren't many foods I would even want to do that with, but avocados are so delicious to me.
I like the idea of using soy sauce. I don't think I've done that yet. I think that would make a tasty way to enjoy it as a side as well, along with some fish.
My usual ways...
~ A little salt, either a splash of lemon or lime, and sometimes a small sprinkling of cayenne.
~ Something similar to the chunky guac mentioned above.
~ On various sandwiches. Runny yolk ones or various meat sandwiches.
~ Avocado toast. Topping it with a protein sometimes to make it like an open faced sandwich.
~ On the side sliced/diced to go with protein during a meal.1 -
I sometimes eat avocado on it's own...usually with just a little salt...but more often it is an accompaniment to something else...like I put it on my salad or sandwich or I make guacamole. I live in New Mexico, so it is a common "condiment" to many traditional dishes.0

Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and two slices of bread.0

I could eat one everyday - just fairly hard to come by very good avocados in the Midwest that don't cost an arm and a leg! In addition to just splitting it open and digging in with a spoon - I love guac (of course), and on my salads, on my eggs, in my smoothies, on my baked fajitas, on cottage cheese, even on my potatoes.1 -
I like to slice up a cucumber, cube an avocado, sprinkle with salt and pepper and add olive oil and apple cider vinegar for a delicious little salad. I have it about 3-5x a week. I am also keto, though I do a modified, "paleo keto" version rather than the traditional LCHF.0

I also sometimes like to have a salad with diced avocado, diced tomato, diced boiled egg, chopped bacon, salt, pepper and some lime.0

I love spicy food, so I will sometimes eat mine with sambal olek (chili paste) or chopped jalapenos. The freshness of the chilies goes amazingly with the avocado.0
 -
A squeeze of fresh lemon and a sprinkle of salt.0
 -
Lime juice, coriander and chilli flakes.0

            Hot sauce!
Rice + rice wine vinegar + soft boiled egg + avocado with soy sauce and hot sauce (or sriracha) = an amazing meal

sliced cherry tomato and red onion, with salt, pepper and balsamic or lime juice. if you have cilantro or fresh herbs, use it!0

            Tapatio Hot Sauce

I used 40 grams of avocado and 30 grams of salsa to top my baked sweet potato + egg this morning.
I also use it a lot in lieu of dressings in salad and on sandwiches/wraps instead of mayo.0 -
I make breakfast tacos with mashed avocado on corn tortillas topped with a fried egg, lime, paprika, salt, and sriracha... but I am going to have to remember some of these other ideas0

Just a little malt vinegar poured into the hole left by the seed.0

Don't knock until you've tried it....make a chocolate smoothie. Really cold, or frozen avocado chunks (about a half and avocado is good) some nut or soy milk (about 1/4 cup for one smoothie), 1 - 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and some honey or pure maple syrup to sweeten. Blend it up until it looks like a chocolate milkshake and enjoy!!1

Wish I could afford to buy avocado..... sigh0
