5'9", but I have significant scoliosis. I was 5'11" at age 13 and its been all downhill from there.
My current weight is 161 lbs. I started at 270 lbs almost 2.5 years ago. I'm trying for 155 at an extremely relaxed pace (0.5 lbs/week).
I'm REALLY happy with how I look right now. I'd probably stop for aesthetics, but all the medical literature indicates that the less I weigh, the happier my back and other joints will be, and the better the outcomes for my condition.
I am just curious to see how you are doing with your scoliosis? Are you not able to get the surgery to correct it? I had scoliosis surgery when I was 12. I had a "C" curvature that was about 55 degrees and getting worse so they said it needed correcting. Now this was back in 1995, and I have a lot more things in me than I hear people today do. My surgery was 8 hours and I have two rods, bolts, wires, pins. I hope you are able to get some relief! Did you ever try a back brace?
Btw, I'm 5'8 and weigh 173lbs. I'm looking to get to 145-150.

6' and hovering between 177 and 180, which is where I look and feel best. I was considering going lower, but then I'd have to buy all new pants, and it is such a pain when you are tall!5

Surgery is a possibility, but it's a last resort for an adult because the spine is much more rigid and the complications more likely and severe. Bracing doesn't work on adults either because the spine has fully fused.
My scoliosis was not diagnosed until I was nearly 30. I have rotary scoliosis with 3 significant curves present in all three areas of the spine. It would require rods from C2 all the way to my sacrum, and I would lose the ability to bend at all, and the risk of serious and debilitating complications is significant.
Currently, in addition to weight loss, which has definitely relieved pressure on my back, I'm pursuing (at my orthopedic surgeon's recommendation) physical therapy to relieve the problems caused by nerve pinching.0
