I've been mulling over things in my mind but ultimately for me, i decided that i can't change my genetics and even though i put in 2 years of hard work to lose weight, a smaller waist does not make ugly less ugly and im working on trying to accept that about myself, if i can do that maybe it won't bother me as much, i think my expectations of myself losing weight were just way too high.
It's funny but as a teenager I thought skinny meant beautiful. As an adult I don't think that at all.1 -

@ Kasner1975: Beards are like anything else...some women love them, some do not. You look good in a beard. Not many men can pull off no hair and a full beard, but it suits you. I am a sucker for a beard...
Probably that would be so much less creepy if my profile pic weren't a sky view through tree branches! But I just verified something that I think I knew but maybe didn't really believe. That men are just as insecure about their looks as women are. But what we keep forgetting is that most people are so busy feeling bad about themselves that they never even notice other people's flaws. That, in and of itself makes me feel so much better...1 -
Nothing is working for me today... but I did just finish my almost-run and feel pretty good because I never thought I'd be able to do it.1

You guys are all so beautiful! It makes me so sad that we all feel so badly about ourselves ask yourself if you've been kind to everyone you've encountered today. If the answer is yes then you are absolutely beautiful in my book. Keep your head up guys you're all a 10 in my eyes4

Physical beauty is nice but I have met some pretty people who are incredibly ugly human beings...there are so many qualities beyond the physical that make people attractive to me.
I remember one of my profs in college, by no means physically attractive by typical standards, but he was so incredibly intelligent & funny that I was completely enamored with him...I thought he was hot!3 -

Well that's one way to solve a problem1 -
I either take a shower, or hang around uglier people than me. That normally makes me feel better.0

Have a nice big bubbly bath and use every lovely scented scrub/face mask I have. Shave my legs, blowdry my hair properly and style it and put a full face of makeup on. Oh and do my nails1

Get dolled up and dress up in a cute dress and shoes even if I don't leave the house!0

I'm jealous of dudes who can grow beards. It's like they have the ability to hide half their face. I'd do that in a heartbeat.2

Not gonna lie that's kinda creepy
But also, in a way, you found it somewhat erotic?
Not gonna lie...that's a big Nope0 -
Take a photo with a snapchat filter. Snapchat makes everything better. Especially the flowery headband filter.1

Do you ever have days you feel unattractive? I'm sure we all do, but how do you get out of that funk? Yesterday was one of those days for me. As I was getting ready for church I wasn't happy with how I looked. Not so much my figure ( it needs work) but just my appearance in general. I was a late bloomer and my mom was a tomboy. She was no help in the hair, makeup, clothes department. I had no teacher so I've slowly had to teach myself and to be honest at almost 33 I'm still not great at it ( my eyeliner technique is non existent). Usually I feel ok with my appearance but lately I just feel like the dowdy chick. In my twenties it seemed like I knew I wasn't that attractive so I made sure I had a dynamic personality ( I'm still the funny, witty one IRL). Im happy with my life but obviously my view of myself needs some work. I'm super busy, I work 2 jobs and have a family but it's like I can't shake it right now. So I'm asking, what do you do to help shake it off?
(I am not posting a picture as I don't want this to seem like I'm fishing for compliments.)
I feel like this almost every day. I've found that focusing my energy on things I can control helps me feel a little better. Doing things that pull me out of myself for awhile makes me forget about my complete lack of sex appeal, LOL! It really helps - try it! Gardening, sewing, coloring, going for a long wslk... anything that makes you focus on other things and helps you relax.0 -

So romantic
But seriously... you ever shake my etch-a-sketch again, and we're fighting. That took me all day, dammit...1 -
