Me. Just stick to your daily calorie deficit and you'll lose weight. Good luck!15
-
Of course! A great many.5
-
Yes. Most of my way of eating is carbs.3
-
Sure. Lots and lots of people here aren't necessarily low carb. Eating less than you burn, regardless of macros, is how weight loss happens. So if you like carbs, go get 'em! Just stay in your calorie target.6

I've lost 12 lbs in the last 40 days or so. Lot's of carbs. If I don't get my carbs I turn into a cranky girl. I do try to keep it to whole grains and veggies and fruit.
I honestly think keto isn't natural, and that our brains need carbs. Not to mention our muscles need carbs to fuel our workouts. I like to work out, and I like to be able to think, so bring on those carbs!15 -
Technically, yes, but I am more satisfied/find it easier to lose weight (without being hungry, irritable, food-obsessed) when I go lower in carbs and avoid refined carbs/sugary things in particular.4

Low carb is something I'd never consider.4

Yep! I pay hardly any attention to my carbs, I just stay under my deficit and I'm losing weight.
All it takes is a deficit, though personally, I recommend increasing fiber instead of cutting out carbs. So for example, don't cut out sandwiches, but replace your white bread with whole wheat or high fiber bread. Again, as long as you are maintaining a deficit you will lose weight no matter how many carbs you eat. However, in my experience, high fiber foods make it easier to eat more and stay under your calorie goal.5 -
I cannot do low carb - I turn into a mega witch! All I do is stay under my calories, regardless of what type of food, and I'm losing weight.1

I eat carbs. I've lost a lot of weight. Why ladies only?2
-
I gained weight when I went low carb because without counting calories I can easily overeat tasty meat.
I've lost 110 lbs on a 40/40/20 (carb/fat/protein) ratio. Nothing magical about that either, or just happens that my preferred food patterns lead to it.4 -
I love fruit and veggies too much now to try the low-carb diets like I did when I was younger. Now I just stick to calorie deficit and do better than I ever have1

I lost 30 lbs before my wedding with just watching my calories and choosing better food. I have actually lost weight doing low carb and higher carb...I definitely feel better with carbs in my life. Right now I generally sticking to moderate carb, but that's only because I feel better when I do!
Concentrate on calories for weight loss...macros don't play as big of a role.3 -
Mmmmm carbs.....CICO, you're welcome!3
-
Calories in calories out.... I do keep them around 35-40% now. Higher leaves me hungry and unsatisfied, lower was a PITA and didn't seem to improve anything. Very little of that is desserts (not fruit) or even plain bread/potatoes/rice, but thats just personal preference.
You do you and see what makes you feel satisfied and able to hit your calorie goal. Low fat makes me sad and angry, but may work for you etc... Maybe take notes each day of hunger levels so that you can correlate.3 -
Yep. I could never give up carbs. I'm down to 136 from 173 since Septemberish.4
-
Yep!1

I've lost 43lbs so far just eating less than I burn. I don't take any notice of macros. Most of my calories come from carbs.2

I've lost over 50 pounds eating all the yummy food, just less of it. I've eaten cookies for breakfast several times this week.2
-
I drink beer and lose weight. It's all about the CICO.2
-
Yep! I feel less bloated when I decrease my carbs, but a bit of bloat is worth it in my opinion!0
-
Yes, I eat 1200 calories and exercise. I don't eat back the calories from exercising either. I try to stick with healthy foods, but as long as you don't go over your calories you will lose weight.2

How many calories do you eat a day? That's awesome

I have gone from 145lbs to 115lbs and I eat carbs everyday. I also eat McDonald's, taco bell, and dairy queen weekly. You never have to make yourself miserable to lose weight.5
-
I've had success losing weight, but I'm not tracking carbs, calories, or even weighing my food. Different things work for different people.2
-
I just eat whatever I fancy but make sure I don't overeat my calorie allowance for the day.1
-
I've lost 34lbs so far eating whatever I wanted to eat. Just less of it.0
