Gotta stay under my limit to stop this binge streak... but only 280 cal left for dinner. Suggestions

Please no lectures about eating 1200. I am overweight and need to lose. I'm coming off an epic binge and my current stats are incorrect. I see an RD, etc., and we both agree to end this month of binging I need to eat 1200 a day. I've yet to succeed in that (another warning for you, no lectures about me eating 1200, I'm not freaking starving here, I'm 5'1). Thanks to some stupid oil covered veggies, I'm up to 1050-some cal's today. I need a filling dinner idea. Anyone have a suggestion?

Cottage cheese is filling for me 1 cup coming in at 210 calories.
Two hard boiled eggs 140 in a salad?
A baked potato 250 (depending on size).
I don't eat meat so I can't help in that area.2 -
Protein shake?1

Go for a walk and earn some extra calories maybe?12

Higher protein will at least help with satiety so agree with cottage cheese. Chicken breast and maybe some steamed veggies would be good too.4

Shrimp salad. If you fry use pam.0

I like to stir fry veggies and then push to the side and heat 1 egg and egg whites, then combine. You will get a lot of protein and fat to keep you full from the eggs and you can get several servings of vegetables. Add soy sauce for flavor.7

beans- a can of black beans with spice or veggies- very filling!1

I'm also only 5'1" and need to keep it under 1200 to lose weight. I also have trouble getting enough protein when doing under 1200 calories. I just found Premier Protein drinks that have 30 g protein, 1g sugar and low fat. At 160 calories, I can have that for dinner and a tangerine for dessert. Might work for you as well. I also like to make fruit smoothies and, with a scoop of whey protein, they run around 250 calories and are very filling.
Also, when I'm short on calories by dinner, I will get on the stationary bike and gain a few calories back (I see someone else suggested this above).5 -
soup is usually a good feel full meal and you can even have a salad with it,6

All of my dinners are under 300 calories. Combinations of chicken breast, which is very low cal and high protein and veggie combos.
I admit, I'm getting kind of sick of chicken!2 -

I eat soup. Soup is good.2 -
I'm amazed an RD would agree with you that to stop binging that you need to eat 1200 a day. I'd pay a more experienced professional to treat you because that is terrible advice coming from an RD. I don't care if you're 5'1"..you're eating less than a child's intake.10

BTW not a lecture. Just suggest getting a 2nd and 3rd if necessary opinion from a reputable RD4

Honestly, I don't understand why you're going to over- restrict yourself like this. I eat a protein packed breakfast, a snack, lunch, 2 other snacks, and dinner, and I'm losing weight. I'm not counting calories or restricting myself just practicing eating smaller portions.
The fact you're following a plan where you're trying to find something to eat with such a low calorie allotment is a bit sad. Good luck op!3 -

You could have a huge pile of roasted veggies or a big pile of roasted veggies and some lean meat.1

well... darn... missed my chance i guess. Although my concern was more the binge eating itself then the 1200
I was going to tell the Op to eat more calories so they can have more calories for dinner.

A grilled chicken breast and steamed vegetables is well under 280 cals.

When someone says they just came off an epic binge.. do they mean they have been binge eating for weeks? months? years? was this just last night and nothing more for a long time? I wanna know the circumstances before the binge too.. what was their diet like..
If its not a behavior modification issue to prevent a binge eating moment then 1200 calories is not going to make a bit of difference and neither would 1500... 1800... 2000

Shrimp Alfredo Lean Cuisine (180) over Zoodles (50) is my go-to low calorie dinner when I've gone over during the day.1

Spinach salad with tuna on top and a low sodium v8. 1 York peppermint patty for desert.
No lecture, this is me and only me, but when I went to a nutritionist she told me I was eating to little and when I up'd my carbs and calories I started losing way faster. She also mentioned I need more water and sleep. All of it helped tremendously. Helped me considerably in fighting the cravings a bit more. Of course I added a good amount of exercise. Might be something to consider. Not judging, just sharing something that helped me.3 -
When I want to figure out what to eat I look at what I need more of- protein, vegetables- and what have available to eat. I enter items in my diary and choose the item and quantity that fits my goals best.
Yogurt, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, chicken breast, spinach or other greens, tuna, beans, oatmeal, bread, broccoli, cabbage, tomato, carrots are things that could fit that amount of calories.

I am not sure what to say, myself, because this 1200 Cal a day prescription to halt bingeing behaviour sounds self prescribed as opposed to something a real RD would suggest.
a) actual binge eater <-- having a hard time seeing an RD prescribing a 1200 Cal diet as "the solution"
b) person who had a few too many over goal days and is now trying to bring things under control <-- again having a hard time seeing an RD prescribing a "strict" 1200 Cal diet as "the solution".
Yes, I am heavily hinting that the correct solution probably does not include the words strict and 1200 together in the same sentence.
An egg white and egg omelette with 143Cal of eggs (that would be 2x50g large eggs) and enough liquid egg whites to account for the remaining calories.
Or just 4 large poached eggs. Or enough tomatoes and cucumbers to amount to 137 Cal and two large hard boiled eggs for the other 143. Or a crapload of iceberg lettuce salad that amounts to 137 Cal with a couple of eggs on top.
or 8x100g yoplait 0% sucralose sweetened yogurt cups (exactly 280Cal) or 6 of the yogurt cups and a few all bran buds as decoration for the remaining calories.
Or a pack of konjac noodles (what is a pack, about 30-45 Cal?) and almost a full can of crushed tomatoes as sauce.
Or approximately 47g of peanut butter out of a jar... or a snickers bar.... or a protein bar... or...

If not you might be able to eat more!

One of those tuna pouches is only 70 calories and it has 17 grams of protein. Mix it with a serving of light mayonnaise and eat it on a salad. I had that for lunch the other day (I used regular mayo, though). You could certainly have that for dinner and be under your calorie goal.3
