I'm finding it difficult to eat 1200 calories.

I am fully-over-stuffed/can't eat anymore at around 800-900 calories, is it ok to just eat until I'm full?
Also there is no way I can eat extra for any calories burned from exercise (long walk), unless I eat something really unhealthy, which I don't want to do because I don't have any cravings for that because I'm so full..

are you weighing and logging everything?
MFP is based on the idea of eating back calories burnt from deliberate exercise - so you should be attempting to eat back like a portion of them1 -
wow I dunno what you eat to be that full from 800 calories for a whole day of eating lol I have 1870 allotted and use all every day pretty much easily

What did you eat before you started MFP? Eat a few of those foods. That is assuming you are using a food scale, and know for sure that you are eating the amount of calories you think you are.
If you are using a food scale, weighing and logging everything, then it's time for ice cream or peanut butter!16 -
Calorie dense foods........nuts, nut butter, full fat dairy, avocado, eggs. If you are eating a lot of high volume foods.....cut back. Many of those can be low in nutritional value.

Perhaps the "slimming and Detox teas" are part of the problem. Not healthy stuff anyway.6 -
I had a quick look at your diary maybe nuts or ice cream for quick calories I see some days u eat 600 ish calories that cant be healthy5

I question the detox tea as well - those sometimes contain appetite suppressants...4

This is very common with new people just starting out. You are making choices of really low calorie foods so your overall calorie count is too low but you are full. This isn't an issue short term, but it can be a detriment to your health in the long run. You really need to try to get to at least 1200
I looked at your diary and I have a few suggestions:
1) Stop drinking the detox tea. It will dehydrate you. Also, there is nothing it removes from your system that your liver and kidneys don't. At best it is a waste of money, at worst the laxatives in it can cause a physical dependency.
2) Start eating more fats. Cheese is a good way to get protein and fat, plus calories
3) Start eating more carbs. Fruit would be a great way to add in nutrient-rich carbs. You can also have a few whole grain crackers with that cheese.18 -
My guess is that you have a very myopic view of what constitutes "healthy"...part of eating healthy is taking in adequate energy (calories) for your body to function. My guess is that you're just eating a lot of low calorie volume foods like veg and fruit and are avoiding carbohydrates and dietary fat...don't do that.15

It is dangerous healthwise for a woman to eat below 1200 for pro-longed periods of time. It can have side effects such as hair loss, brittle nails and leave you looking and feeling fatigued. Over longer periods it can do serious damage to your organs
How did you put weight on? You had to have eaten over 1200 to get in a position whereby you feel you need to lose weight.
What do you deem unhealthy foods? There are no bad or good foods if they are eaten in moderation.
Having a little cheese, a handful of nuts, some avocado, a banana or switch some lower calorie versions of foods (if that's what you're eating) to full fat versions, should bump you up enough.6 -

Your diary makes me sad, hungry, and a little grossed out.
One cannot live on sardines, a handful of veggies, and 6 cups of detox tea every day.24 -

Was your one meal at The Cheesecake Factory??

Before I joined I would eat one meal a day with a couple of milky coffee's during the day, my meal would be something like bbq children wings or pizza or jacket potato with cheese or chips etc.
I am weighing and logging everything.
I don't like nuts, and I'm going low-carb, so no ice cream, because I think it's the carbs that have caused my weight gain..1 -
Um, for what it's worth, that Slim Plus tea very clearly states it's an appetite suppressant.

Eating more calories than your body burns is why you have gained, not carbs. Eat enough to fuel your body, keep a deficit and you will lose weight.15

NO. It's because of the CALORIES that caused your weight gain. I doubt you have any idea of how much you were eating before.
Stop drinking that slim-plus crap. It does you no good at all.12 -
What are your current stats & goals, OP? What was the calorie count of an average day for you before?
Along with some of the points mentioned above (perhaps you are eating more volume of less calorie-dense foods and need to broaden your diet to include more calorie-dense foods), it is common for new ones to experience sort of a "dieter's high"- they're so excited about their new diet & initial weight loss, they feel like they don't hardly need to eat at all! This phase will pass soon enough. But in the meantime, you need to fuel your body properly.4 -

Nope not the carbs, eating more than you burn is what makes you gain weight.

I don't understand the desire to not have something unhealthy but drinking detox tea at every meal. I think we have a very different view of what's healthy. You'll crash and burn soon enough if you're really eating that little. Also not a healthy thing to starve the body of necessary nutrients. Eat more calorie dense foods and ditch the tea.7

Not sure why my comment was flagged. That tea is on her daily log and I was explaining that it's advertised as an appetite suppressant. I'm sure as *kitten* not selling anything.

No reason to flag this post. It's pointing out a possible solution to your issue in a polite and reasonable way. If you're drinking several cups of "appetite suppressant" every day, might that not be why you feel stuffed on a few sardines and a handful of beans?12 -

You've only been logging for 3-4 days and you're not weighing everything. According to your food log you've been eating 100 grams of beans every day. Exactly 100 gram? Every day?
Seems suspect.
It's not the carbs that make you gain weight, it's the calories.....which you are not eating enough of. Stop the tea and eat a sandwich.9 -

I'm at 1000+ calories by the time I get to work on workout days. Check my log (yesterday).
And that's just my protein bar at 5am, shake intra work-out, and over night oats before leaving for work.2 -
OP, one of the most important things to remember when starting a new way of eating is to find something that is sustainable for you. Looking at your diary, I don't know anyone who could maintain eating so little for any significant period of time. It's recipe for a huge binge. Not to mention all of the health factors other posters have mentioned, and the fact that your "detox tea" is a scam.4

Grab a handful of cashews.
