I've always had 2% milk but for weight loss everywhere I read it's all about almond milk but I don't really like it.

Almond milk has about half the calories, is why people say that. If 2% milk fits into your calorie goals, go ahead and drink it.5

2% is fine. People use almond milk for all sorts of reasons, but it's no "better"5
-
I only use almond milk for my smoothies. Go ahead & drink what you like1
-
Who says it's bad? I have full fat heavy whipping cream in my coffee and I've lost 80lb.9

We have an organic dairy nearby, i always stop and buy a couple of bottles when i drive past, it still has a thick layer of cream on top. No idea what % it is...
I will never drink skim milk. Tastes like watery dish water
ETA: I've noticed Americans always use % when talking about milk. We only have full cream and skim milk here, no idea what percentage they are.5 -
I went from 2% to whole milk. It tastes better without adding that many calories. It has more protein than almond milk.2

Yes, cow's milk is really that bad...unless you're a calf. It's bad for human health. It's bad for the cows that gave the milk. It's bad for the environment. It's that bad.3

I prefer whole milk, but 2% is what I'm currently using. There are no issues as long as it fits into your goals. Almond milk is actually bad for a health condition I have, real milk is much better for me and my goals.0

Whole milk is 4% generally. Skim milk is 0.5 to 1%. Neither are bad. Have all the full fat things, they're good for you.4

2% is what I use all the time. Never heard it was a bad thing.0

I love milk. Anyone know how to milk an almond?
Also, the nut milks all have palm oil (palmitate) in them - the destroyer of habitat all over the world. Think of the orangutans, burned in their homes during slash burns. Not to mention all the other stuff that makes it milky and smooth.
You're welcome. This message was brought to you by baby cow guy above.29 -
Use what you like and just fit the calories in your goal.
I choose not to drink milk but I use it in cooking.1 -

Best "rebuttal" ever.15 -

Bad only insofar that animal fats are dubious necessity. Otherwise. . . eh drink want you want. I prefer skim.1

Almond milk is really that bad....unless you're a baby almond. Almond trees need a lot of water to produce adequate yields, so they're bad for our precious and limited water resources.
Plus almond milk tastes like dirty water and has virtually no protein.17 -
How does one milk an almond anyway? Where does one get stools that low?9

You could drink heavy cream daily and be shredded at sub 10% body fat. It's all about CICO5

We have skim, light and full. Skim is generally 99.9% fat free, light is 2% and full I'm not sure. Oh, and I think Pura Light Start is 1%.1 -

So is it your contention that if somebody drinks a couple tablespoons of heavy cream daily in their coffee, they'll never be able to get to sub 10% BF?1 -

Too much of one thing and/or too little of another over any length of time can cause 'weird' things to happen.0 -

So we are taking context and dosage into consideration. All righty then.8 -

Weird things? Can you be a little more specific?

Soooo many tempting "milking an almond" memes to share, but I'm not gonna risk it. LOL4

What's ironic, is the poster actually mentioned CICO, which is right. It would largely suggest it's not too much.
Why I prefer milk over almond milk water
1. protein
2. it's not water
3. taste
4. protein
5. I don't want to pay for super expensive flavored water7
