Does zero calorie flavored sparkling water count as water?

    It will hydrate you, just like water, if that's what you mean.

    Yep. I drink like 6 La Croix a day. So good and the Carbonation curbs my cravings a bit.

    I wasn't sure if the addition of flavors and carbonation would change the chemical makeup enough.

    You're really trying to make this way more complicated than it needs to be. Just keep hydrated. Doesn't matter the source of the hydration.
