4000 calorie in one sitting!

In a day, sure no problem.
In one sitting.. maybe, if most of the cals came from alcohol. I always try to "trick" my body to get more cals in.. and it is difficult.. but booze seems to bypass the sensors
Light weight, here! 625 calories in a bottle of wine. 1000 calories of alcohol would put me in a coma...can't imagine the majority of a 4000 calorie meal coming in the form of alcohol. I'd be passed out or dead before I could drink that much!1 -
Youtube has fit people doing 10,000 calore challenges were they eat it in a day.
They are kinda fun to watch, wish I could give it a go myself0 -

Nooooo Tiny.....lol
Several times!
Me too.
Every Christmas day, my birthday and a few times during the year for special occasions.
Today I am doing a full roast leg of lamb dinner with stuffings, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes in goose fat for 9 people.
We have cheese cake for dessert and salmon and cream cheese with crackers. Chips/crisps and dips for later in the evening with drinks as well.
I don't think I'll be in calorie range today.
Tomorrow I'll be back to eating a normal amount within my calories and won't sweat the fact I was over.
Life is for living and won't deprive myself of any thing.5 -

Haha oh dear yes maybe that is a lot.. Back in my university days, no problem, but definitely wouldn't think of it now!!
I mean the meal would have to last for a few hours obviously... pre dinner cocktail, bottle of wine, some after dinner drinks.. maybe wouldn't add up to most but a significant portion1 -
It is not like you do this every meal and everyday ! But you did it! I would be sick I dont think I could but years ago yes I would of been right there aside enjoying it too now not a chance I would be horrible sick and acid reflex would of killed me!

I bet with some of the foods suggested here that guy could eat 30k cals in a sitting.

I just don't see how that's possible without complete gluttony or doing it for sport, i'de be absolutely sick if I ate more than even 750 in one sitting without preparing for it.
Also to the poster above me, Matt stonie is an extratrestrial! I love it!0 -
I think there must be something to stomach capacity or stretching. Youtube has several videos on the 'All you can eat" 'contestants and contests from all over theworld. So when I see those people eat so much I thought Its sort of a talent or they have trained up to it and adapted themselves to do it. I just never had that capacity. I'm pretty sure I'm happy not to have it, I might have been obese if I did!1

The programme that I am running currently requires me to consume 16g/kg of carbohydrates on Saturday's. With protein and fat's thrown in, I normally end the day somewhere between 8-10k calories.
I normally start the day with a large family box of sugary cereal, skimmed milk, whey protein and 4 muffins which adds up to approximately 4k calories.5 -
OK I'll admit that If I were keen on building muscle, doing everything it takes to fuel that goal, and I were a 24 year old 6'2" tall male I'd probably be able to eat more than 3000 a day.

Heck ya it's possible. Generally delicious... later regretful... good times.0

I've done it. Huge pasta dish. cheesy appetizers, drinks and dessert. We've all done it some of us just weren't keeping track. It sisnt make me sick at all. Made me tired lol0
-
No, I doubt we've ALL done it.1

I just did it when I was sick, sore throat, sinus infection, ate everything in sight, French fries, ice cream, more ice cream, I really didn't care how much I ate, now getting back on track.0

750 calories is less than a burger and fries by quite a way.
I'm a small female and can eat 750 calories in five minutes as a slice of cheese cake.3 -

LOL! 750 calories is a normal dinner for me and I'm not a big person - that's not even a large meal, either. My maintenance calories are set to 1750. That total amount in one meal would probably have me feeling the bloat...but 750 is hardly gluttony or sport.2 -

But didn't OP say 4000 calories at one sitting?
Like I said, most ever for me is around 3000 IN A WHOLE DAY! not in a meal.

Yes but the person I quoted didn't.2 -
Yeah, I see that Garthweight started the 750 a meal topic then!:)1

it's definitely possible, but i think it'd depend on how much your stomach can hold. i haven't eaten 4000 calories in one sitting but i've eaten 5000 calories in a day before.
it was easy, especially because the majority of the foods were high calorie.0 -
Kinda interested in competitive eating now; I didn't realize that it was that difficult for most people. I can easily eat 6k-7k calories in a day without any of it being liquid. I'll eventually get full after a while, to the point of wanting to puke even, only for me to be hungry again an hour later. It's no wonder I was overweight for most of my life.1

To me, a bloated stomach IS discomfort!0 -
Just last month I ate a whole thin crust pineapple bacon pizza with butter dipping sauce, boneless chicken wings /w ranch and gummy bears. granted it took two hours but it was one sitting and yet i didn't feel 'stuffed' . Added it up to 3,920cal.0

Have you guys heard of brunch buffets? (Or other all-you-can-eat experiences with fried foods, breads, and desserts?)
Thanksgiving a couple of years back, with forensic photo evidence and over the objections of 2 MFPeops who thought I was at least an extra 1000 Cal higher based on the same pictures, I logged my 9 dessert dinner plate (+3 deserts in little cups that didn't fit the plate, so 12 items in total) at just over 4000 Cal and the whole meal at just over 5500 Cal. (we are talking whole slices of cakes etc)
Of course I was too full to eat anything else, and was feeling slightly off, and had SOME difficulty moving. Duh! That didn't stop me, nor had it stopped me in the past... hence my ending up on MFP a few years back!
On the other hand I regularly had and have ~3500 Cal days (not meals; but days). And I was uncomfortably full at the end of my dinner.
So I do have some trouble believing some of the "5000" Cal meals/days posted in disgust by people who seldom break 2K on a regular basis on the occasions when they have gone seriously overboard!
Now that is impressive. You should be proud lol.
I want to find this evidence you speak of.0 -
