I impulsively travel a lot when I start feeling sad, I think to try and distract myself a bit (although really I think it's just I get restless when discontent and I have bad self control)

I have a lot of things I do to center myself.
    1. prayer and meditation
    2. workout
    3. play tennis (a lot)
    4. hike
    5. drink
    6. play with kids or dogs (sure fire cheer-up)
    7. Immerse myself in a project like woodworking, restoration work, automotive stuff, yard work or the like.

I grab a cigar and go for a walk. Work has been helping me get in about 18 miles a week.

I do not experience clinical depression, so sadness is occasional and transitory.

Not going to lie, there are moments where I eat, yell/swear and cry. There was a time where I'd inhale fast food and just sleep. Workout, go for a walk, or go to a class and work your butt off. You'll be too tired/out of breath (me) to worry or care about anything other than catching your breath. :)

Buy my dog a new toy. Watching a doofy dog make a fool of himself with extreme joy over a squeaky bit of fluffiness will make ANY day better, plus it puts things in perspective a bit.

For me, stress is best relieved by exercise, although stress and exhaustion tend to be coexistent in my world, and it can be difficult to find the motivation to get up and DO it.

I don't get sad or stressed. I take all my emotions out during the sprees.

For me.... being sad and drinking is like being happy and drinking...any time is a good time to drink. The more excuses the better. Don't get me wrong I don't have an alcohol problem I just like to have some drinks during the day
