BIKINI ADVICE!

Hey mfpers!

Two questions. I bought this bikini top today, and I've never worn one before. Please disregard the bottoms since I didn't get them.

1) does it look "trashy"? (a friend said it did)
2) about how much weight do you guys think I should lose?

The helpfulness quotient in this response was through the roof haha. I ask that people stay positive on this thread, too.

I just don't think it's nice. That style was in last year. It's a little young, especially with the tie dye.

ETA: But how do YOU feel in it? I mean...I chose a high french cut 80's bikini bottom for this year even though it's not really in. I just prefer it.

Thanks for the input!!! I thought it looked great and I like it a ton but I can understand about the tie die. It was more comfortable than others I tried on.

It looks cute. But might look nicer with the matching bottoms. You have a great shape by the way. Go get the matching bottoms.

There are a lot in that style! Try on different patterns and some with matching bottoms. Maybe a size up in the top

Haha thanks!! I have white string bottoms I bought a while back. Do you think that would work?

Why do bikinis have to be in fashion? You going swimming in the French Riviera?

Hahaha yes. I'll swim in the French Riviera with my maidservants wearing 14 karat nail polish

From a guys perspective the top may be a tad too small. The bikini itself looks fine to me. I wouldn't think trashy if I saw you in it. And yes I'd check you out.

From what I can see you don't need to loose any weight. Just continue to tone.

    And smile!! You're a hottie!

    Take care

I personally don't like the top, because I wouldn't wear it and wouldn't feel comfortable having my boobs out that much. Not that I have any. Perhaps if I did I'd like it :p

In terms of weight, I don't think you need to lose much if any. If you were do anything, perhaps recomp would be good? Again, based upon my own physique preferences... If you feel comfortable, that's what really matters!

Are you going to the beach or the local pool? It's completely fine for the beach (mostly strangers). It's a lot of boobage for the local pool (strangers+neighbors+cashier at your grocery store). I've seen much worse at the local pool though.

honestly.. just don't wear a bottom at all. its out of style anyway, the new fad is nude.

Truth or sugar coat? I am all about truth so here goes..

    No weight loss, recomp.

The suit, ditch it. It does nothing for your shape; top is doing way too much in the bust area, looks way too young. There are many other styles to accentuate your bust area. Mix and match bottoms possibly to find the right tailored look for your body type..

Lastly though, would not really care what others think personally, you should feel confident and comfortable in it.

In my opinion (which matters not as I'm a woman in her late 30s and definitely not the target audience  ) you can do much better. The top is an oddly mixed message of 'look at me!' (lots of tight cleavage) and ' no on the other hand, don't look at me!' (extra loose fabric covering everything except cleavage).

You've got a great figure and you should wear whatever makes you feel good. I just thing a more traditional bikini top (maybe a size up) without the extra fabric would highlight the rest of your figure better without screaming 'cleavage!' quite so loudly
