Went down another belt notch! Only one notch left before I switch to my smaller belt.

Bought some capris that are a size down from what I normally wear in pants of the same brand (normally size 18). These were a 16...tried them on, and they fit! I mean not the best fit but they still fit pretty decent! ahh so happy! I also found an old pair of pants (size 22) and I tried them on and laughed, they went up to my chest almost! So funny..definitely the motivation I needed this week. I still got a ways to go but definitely a NSV for me.

My daughters bought me some running tights for Mother's Day. I have 2 NSVs from this:

1. I am now the sort of mum that you buy fitness stuff as a gift because it is what I want/use
2. My very sporty 17yo tried them on to get the right size, admittedly she bought ones that she felt were a little big for her but only a little big, not falling off!!

1. I shoulder pressed 15kg for all 4 sets this morning -the last couple of reps in each set seemed to take forever to get up there, but I did it.
2. upped leg press to 80kg for all sets too

yay!

and did my C25K Wk3.2 (90sec jog, 90sec walk, 3min run, 3min walk x2) with jogging at 9km/h for both 90secs and 1 of the 3 mins, and was easier than I thought. (I'm in love with a sociopath is my new fave jogging song to sing!)
I know treadmill is easier than outside, but I really like having one rep a week where I can know my speed and work on upping it. 10km/h is actually seeming possible! who'da thunk?!

feeling good!!
now just need to get some planks done else am going to fail this month's challenge!!

My "I bought these new jeans because all my old clothes are falling off" jeans are now my "these jeans are really getting to be too large" jeans. When I bought them they were a little too tight because I was hoping to lose more weight, and they gave me a muffin top. Now they keep sliding down around my hips.

Also, I'm starting to like my waist. Before I had a really huge stomach, and you couldn't really feel my abdominal wall no matter how hard you prodded. I still have a big stomach in front, but on the sides you can see and feel muscle, and even in the front I can feel muscles under the fat. I'm becoming more hopeful that someday I can get out from under that abdominal fat. By the way I love my ab roller.

just tried on my swim suit this morning. The leg opening does not cut in as much any more! Also, I bought a pair of size 8 kapris yesterday. Even in high school, my default is size 10. My wedding dress was size 10.

I've never been able run a mile. Even in high school I would cheat and take a break behind the bleachers. Well this summer decided I would improve my cardio. I ran my mile the other day at 6.5 mph in under 10 minutes and when I stepped off someone asked if I ran track for the school, and that's my NSV.

I completed a triathlon last weekend, the day after my father-in-law's funeral, despite severe osteoarthritis that caused excruciating knee pain half way through the bike that continued through the run (which I walked, as planned). I met my goal of completing it in under 2 hours (1:45), had respectable swim and bike rankings in my age group, and wasn't last on the run, so my goals were met. I pushed my 22 month old in the stroller for the run, which was important to me for my goal of leading my girls by example. Best of all, my 13 year old wants to do the swim/run duathlon next year!!!

I have two NSV's so far this week-

1. I realized this weekend that I've gone from a size 26-24 to a size 18-16. The 16's are tight, but they button!

2. I'm beginning to realize how many fun ways there are to be healthy and active. I went hiking at a state park this weekend with my dad and am going again tomorrow. I'm still doing things I consider 'exercise' (like lifting weights and running) but I'm starting to incorporate other 'just for fun' activities into my day too

im not sure what nsv means either but i have been on mfp for a while now on and off but stuck to it properly this time and have lost 1st and 10lbs and i feel so much better i find exercise easier and have more energy ive gone from a size 12 14 to a size 8 10 only downside now althought no a bad complaint is have to get new clothes lol

anyone else find shifting the last few pounds harder then when started ?

Went out this morning for a (very short) cycle ride. The black clouds were gathering, the wind was harsh. I got wet. Very wet.

Walked my daughter to college and then to the Post Office. The black clouds were gathering, the wind was harsh. I got wet. Very wet.

Looked at the clouds this evening. Dark and miserable. The wind has continued to blow all day. Decided to go out on the bike again, despite the two earlier soakings. I did not get wet.

As an aside, I have discovered what has happened to the missing swan and eggs. Let's just say that the cob is now a single parent doing his best for his remaining eggs

I really need a new bathing suit. There's such a big gap when I go under water on the boob area. The straps also don't always stay in place but aren't really falling off either. The bottom of it is fitting more like those high waisted V type of suits instead of sitting on the hip area. The stitching there has also been digging in a tad which is also different. One pieces are annoying to find because my torso is a bit longer. Would love to rock a bikini but my rib fat is still around. Worst part of my stomach right now but it has been moving downwards!

Also wore a top a few days ago when walking and could see more of my boobs rather than seeing my stomach when walking. I'll take it!

I walked up the road from town to Tesco (1.1 mile) - it's pretty hilly and I used to puff a bit and get a bit of a sweat on, but I walked up there on Monday and I didn't break a sweat, I was on the phone the whole time, talking to my mum who asked if I was at home, I said I was walking up Sheffield Road and she said oh I thought you were sat watching TV or something - she heard the cars going by, but I wasn't puffing at all ... Not bad considering I usually spend 8 hours a day sitting at a desk, I credit my new Aerobic Bike with my increased cardio fitness, I lost the weight between 2012 and 2014, so I've been maintaining every since then, but being a desk worker I didn't have a great deal of cardio fitness until I started using an indoor bike and doing H.I.I.T training 6 days a week.

As I'm in maintenance these days I have been looking at NSV's rather than the numbers on the scales and they keep me focused on my ongoing weight management and fitness.

Can't beat the steel city for a good uphill workout. I walk 3miles away the first mile of which is up one of sheffields finest! I can make it to the top without stopping now, but it still makes me puff a bit. Just started c25k but don't push the start button till I get to the top of the hill.

Finally managed to run my lunchtime loop at a fast enough speed to go up a speed category when I log my run on mfp. I have been running at about 6.5 minutes per km but the speeds in mfp go from 7.2 to 6.2 - managed 6 minutes 10 seconds per km for the 4.3km circuit today.

My three younger children will grow up knowing me Only as a Very Fit mom (God Willing) and are naturally following in my footsteps.... my oldest has known this "new mom" long enough to become very fit himself and totally see our (my) pretty active life as the norm now.
My husband has lost a substantial amount of weight in the last year and is trying to become more consistent with his weight training... sometimes he just looks at me and smiles...and I certainly know what he is thinking.... go babe GO! Lol :-)
