    When he gets up before you every morning and there's a coffee waiting in a travel mug for you to grab on the way out the door.

    When he texts you every lunch time to ask how your day's going.

    When he puts the bin out without having to be asked, or sees you cleaning on a Saturday morning and pulls the vacuum cleaner out to help.

    When he comes home from the grocery store with those things you like, even if they're things he never eats, like protein bars and tins of oysters.

    It's the little things, not the big things that matter.

    After 3 years together he still does those things and they tell me every day how he feels.

    After knowing DW over 50 years, being married 48, three kids and a lifetime of ups and downs our accepting each other knowing all of our faults, annoying traits and idiosyncrasies we really love each other.

    Love is a decision. A commitment to go through life together and cling to each other no matter what happens. That commitment should remain even if youthful lust has faded. After 37 years I view the choice to commit to my wife, for life, as one of the smartest things I've ever done.
