Scale went up but I've been sticking with the program, so I measured: 8,5cm down overall, incredible!18

I walked up the road from town to Tesco (1.1 mile) - it's pretty hilly and I used to puff a bit and get a bit of a sweat on, but I walked up there on Monday and I didn't break a sweat, I was on the phone the whole time, talking to my mum who asked if I was at home, I said I was walking up Sheffield Road and she said oh I thought you were sat watching TV or something - she heard the cars going by, but I wasn't puffing at all ... Not bad considering I usually spend 8 hours a day sitting at a desk, I credit my new Aerobic Bike with my increased cardio fitness, I lost the weight between 2012 and 2014, so I've been maintaining every since then, but being a desk worker I didn't have a great deal of cardio fitness until I started using an indoor bike and doing H.I.I.T training 6 days a week.
As I'm in maintenance these days I have been looking at NSV's rather than the numbers on the scales and they keep me focused on my ongoing weight management and fitness.30 -

Can't beat the steel city for a good uphill workout. I walk 3miles away the first mile of which is up one of sheffields finest! I can make it to the top without stopping now, but it still makes me puff a bit. Just started c25k but don't push the start button till I get to the top of the hill.11 -

I made it up the mountain, barely having to catch my breath at all--and had an easier time with it than hubby (he's also losing weight, but a little bit of a slower start). I wore cute little spandex shorts and workout top, too.
That's why hubby was huffing and puffing
Oh I know it.4 -
I say things like, "I'm going to start riding my bike to the train. Or maybe even the office." And also, "It's only like 10 blocks or something. We can totally walk." Or "When are we going to fit in our hike this weekend."19

I picked up something for my oldest daughter just now and she said.... drum roll, please... "Dayum, Mom. You're getting ripped."

Finally managed to run my lunchtime loop at a fast enough speed to go up a speed category when I log my run on mfp. I have been running at about 6.5 minutes per km but the speeds in mfp go from 7.2 to 6.2 - managed 6 minutes 10 seconds per km for the 4.3km circuit today.14

My three younger children will grow up knowing me Only as a Very Fit mom (God Willing) and are naturally following in my footsteps.... my oldest has known this "new mom" long enough to become very fit himself and totally see our (my) pretty active life as the norm now.
My husband has lost a substantial amount of weight in the last year and is trying to become more consistent with his weight training... sometimes he just looks at me and smiles...and I certainly know what he is thinking.... go babe GO! Lol :-)29 -
I've logged in for 30 days. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooot.38

I ran today!! Me! At 275lbs. It was definitely not impressive but I ran 30 seconds, walked a minute, ran 1:30, walked a minute then ran another minute. This came at the end of my 2mile walk so it was even more amazing to me. I want to lose more weight before doing it regularly though.
Awesome! Btw I love your profile pic lol6 -
Also, the last couple of doctors appointments I've been to my blood pressure has been in the normal range. I'm so excited about that because it was getting high.20

Last week I could barely walk after leg circuit but this week I did an extra round and could walk just fine.22

Blood glucose was 90 first thing this morning! Lowest ever morning reading, I usually wake up with it elevated. Probably due to lots of cycling intervals yesterday. Also, my blood pressure has gone from borderline high to 110 / 75.20

Decided to put on my white "ABBA" home pants while listening to ABBA and cooking with a friend. They fell off my butt and hit the floor quicker than you can say ABBA. Tried to put an older belt in them - it didn't have enough holes to keep the pants on. Double victory!33

ran outside in pubic in a sports bra.
20 years of obesity kills self esteem so for me this was huge deal.47 -

Congratulations! Getting out there is so difficult if your confidence has taken a beating.
I hope you meant "public", though, or you could get in some serious trouble!26 -
I was going to delay buying any more clothes until I couldn't stand the bagginess anymore, but now it's hot and I have no warm-weather clothes that aren't clown-like. Off to the store to buy shorts and tanks. I started at size 22; the shorts will be somewhere around 14.37

Finished Week 4 of C25K We are halfway through the programme!
And my son found today's workout much easier (he struggled with the previous two of Week 4) so we won't have to go back to Week 3 after all23 -
I have lost 4.25 inches total from my arms, chest, waist, and hips since February. (And gained 1 inch in calves and thighs). It doesn't sound like much, but I'm trying to keep in mind that it's 4.25 inches I would still have if I had just sat on my butt and ate junk for the last 3 months!29
