Crazy month with daughter finishing IB exams and son back in the house after year one of Uni(and job hunting!) and me taking night civic classes, night language classes and choir practically every night of the week. Therefore our supper hour for the last month has slipped later and later and I know this was messing with my metabolism and water retention - could not get a pound to drop if I died.
The NSV? I knew what was happening and just stuck with it... things are starting to move... finally!
For the next month - my whole family will be out in the evenings for classes and I will be home alone - should be easy peasy to maintain a great calories deficit and get back on track.23 -
Had to tighten my seatbelt at he waist in the car a few inches this morning23

I ran 7.5km without stopping this morning. Took me over 50 minutes but my previous longest runs have only been just over 5k so pleased I completed the distance.25

Went to give blood and my blood preassure was 103/76. It has not been this good in a while.23

I put the scale back underneath the sink. I am finally content with myself that I don't feel the need to jump on the scale 4-5 times a day.34

A while back I grabbed a pack of the wrong size (1 size down from what I normally buy) underwear and didn't realize until the packaging was opened so I couldn't return it.
Just for shucks and giggles I tried one on today.... a little snug, but they definitely fit! Walking around my otherwise empty house now in just my new size SMALL undies for a victory lap!35 -
My fat boy jeans are baggy again..

I hate being inactive now.
I used to spend my weekends around the house. Can't stand that now. Must be doing something almost constantly.22 -
Ran all the way up the hill I normally end up having to walk up at least part of25

Was able to do push-ups again for the first time after a rotator cuff injury. I feel a little frustrated because I have lost a lot of strength in the couple of months recovery, but at least now I'm headed in the right direction again!22

Completed week one of c25k today. My boobs are not designed for running.(more like fast shuffling21

I experienced something today of which I had only heard rumors. My leggings started to fall down while I was running on the treadmill! I have never had this problem before! And it's a real problem because my belly still jiggles quite a bit and I need the high waistband to keep it under control!22

But I finished it anyway14

The weather tried to stop me today . . . twice. The short version (long version is on a blog - I have a blog!):
It was sunny this morning so I got in my C25K (Week 5, Day1) before 8.30am.
It then got cloudy but did half of a three-mile walk with my children before the rain started. We got home slightly wetter than when we went out.
This afternoon the rain stopped (briefly, although I wasn't to know this) so I managed four miles on the bike before the skies opened again. I had planned a 40-mile ride but admitted defeat once the cold, rain and wind started really affecting me so ended up doing just 12.5 miles. I got home from my bike ride soaked to the skin (even my trousers were squelching wet) and had nowhere to go but straight into a hot bath (bliss).
Tomorrow may be better ...14 -

The same thing happened to me yesterday! I was extra upset because it was a pair that I was previously too big to wear, and I was saving them for when I lost some weight. I guess I saved them for too long. On the plus side, once I started to sweat a lot, it helped 'grab' the waistband and they stayed up for the rest of the run, lol. Thank goodness, because the jiggle was NOT fun!
Oh, and my NSV is that it ended up being my best run to date. 5 miles in 57:29! Three months ago, when I started, I couldn't even jog a mile without walking, and yesterday I did all five

Agreed. The Enell was life-changing for me.
My funny, awkward NSV: I stopped to get gas after a bagpipe band gig last night, still wearing my uniform -- kilt, vest, long-sleeve shirt, and tie. I'd recently had to take in the vest because of weight loss, and I was looking pretty trim and hour-glassy. I used to look refrigerator-y.
The two 20-something guys (half my age) behind the counter had been arguing with each other while serving the previous customers. When I got up to the front, they stopped arguing long enough to flirt with me. As I left, I could hear them arguing about who'd made the biggest fool of himself.37 -
I went on a hike the other day which I'm sure if I would have tried around this same time last year I would have rolled over and croaked.27

It's an NSV for me that sat with my spouse in front of the tv last evening and did NOT need to shove food into my face.31

Found a noodle substitute which does not spike my blood sugar - soba noodles! They taste remarkably like spaghetti and have just as many carbs, but apparently the buckwheat is lower on the glycemic index and my sugar stayed good despite a big serving of spaghetti with marinara sauce and more carbs as veggies on the side. Yes! Also pleased that subtle changes in cooking habits means I can enjoy a big spaghetti dinner and everything comes out to only 450 calories.17
