I'm pretty new to this and I'm just curious what's the benefit to lift heavier with less reps then lift lighter to more reps?0

Can burn so much more and rip more muscle fibres which then results to burning more when you're resting as the muscle fibres then work harder to build.

I lift, not sure if you'd call it heavy though... bench 60lbs / squat 85 lbs / deadlift 115lbs It it is heavy for me5

The only colored plates are the bumpers for deadlifts. Green=10, yellow=25, blue= 450

I just started last week! Started with benching 55lbs and deadlifting 115lbs. Can't wait to get back in the gym and keep going.1

You build lean muscle, more muscle=more calorie burn= more food, yipee love it2 -

actually when your doing the exercise, cardio uses more calories than weights but after you stop you still burning calories this is called the EPOC effect(post exercise oxygen consumption) Weights are particularly good in women to prevent ageing and avoid osteoporosis.

never seen a pink bar bell! The plates on the olympic platform have coloursbut no pink.
