JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS | ROUND 6

In our last (JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS) Round 5, we still saw some significant changes in weight loss as we logged the good with the not so good days! Many of us had NSV AND CHOSE TO NOT EVEN WEIGH FOR THE DAY AND THAT IS Ok!
We again added a few more followers and found it nice to encourage others along the way! We are learning every day what works and what doesn't on this journey! It's so great to have short term goals and to break up our long term goals in smaller increments so it doesn't always seem so overwhelming.
So Starting on June 2 - June 11 | JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, will begin Round 6! Lets see what more we can as we reach a total of 60 days consecutively!
Anyone else game?
Weighing yourself everyday? Controversial you may say? Well for me personally, checking the scale can be motivating. I read in a study of 3,500 people who maintained 60 or more pounds of weight loss for at least a year, researchers from the National Weight Control Registry found that 44 percent weighed themselves every day. Another study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that overweight people are six times more likely to lose weight if they weigh themselves at least once a day. I don't about you, but it helps me and motivates me to keep going or to tweak what I did the day before. I never weigh more than just once in the morning. Our weight fluctuates constantly throughout the day with what we drink and consume, so only make it a 'once a day' rule for sanity sake.
Let's give it our best 10 days ever for an inspirational jump start to Spring and Summer!
Here is what to do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

This is a great idea! I can't wait to participate. I've bailed on a few month-long challenges, but I think that I can stick to 10 days.
If anyone has similar stats - add me for motivation! F/29/5'10, CW 232, GW 1755 -
So excited to participate! I'm down 14lbs since February, but now I'm hitting a wall. Wanting to lose another 16lbs, and breaking it down to smaller goals is really helpful.

I am definitely down for this challenge! I've been doing this on my own for the past 3 months now but it will be nice to have more people active in it. I'm down 15lbs since March and I have my next fitness evaluation at my gym on the 5th of June. I've been working really hard this past month and cannot wait to see my results.

I am in! I am not sure if I will "lose weight" because I am lifting heavy. But, if I can control my diet for just 10 days, I may lose fat and gain muscle. I want to lose inches in my belly area. It's my diet that is killing me! Grrrr.....

Must try harder than the last round. Albeit I lost a lb I would ideally love to lose more than that in the next ten days. I'm going again so that I can try and stay focussed.

I am interested in this. Hope this gives me the kick start I need. I too weigh every day for motivation, so at least I am in the hunt (so to speak). My logging has sucked recently, hoping this gives me the kick start I need. I always exercise some (some weeks more than others). Thanks.

Woohoo I'm ready for my second round! The last one was honestly so insightful. I started and ended at the same weight but also began lifting more seriously in that time frame. I've read that it can take up to a few weeks for the initial water retention that your body uses to repair microtears in the muscle to subside. So once again I'll be paying attention to the mirror and my measurements as well as the number on the scale.

Round 6 begins tomorrow!!! Here is a bit of encouragement to start you off....
This is a time when you can gain understanding of the significance and value of where you have been and what you have endured. Where you stand now is the sum total of your experiences and decisions. Know that you will have opportunities to be empowered by the knowledge you have acquired so that you can overcome and be victorious...stay strong everyone and know everyday is a new opportunity to best you you can be!

I can't wait to start this round! I may not be able to weight tomorrow because I'll be away from home. Oh shucks just realized I'll be away from home this weekend at my parents house....maybe I'll tote my scale with me.0

That's my first full round, I hope to lose 1.8kg before 24th of July so for this round I want to lose 1kg! For me it's a lot, but seeing your progress I think it will inspire me to push myself to do so

@SaleenGirl305 this is my biggest mountain hurdle...drinking wine at night that leads to overindulgence in food that I'm not even hungry for! Let's try this next round by eliminating alcohol for 10 days and see where we go from there! I read that it takes 3 days from the time you drink for it to actually be completely removed from your body! This is gonna be a great week to cleanse and make my liver really happy! Want to join me?4 -
