I'm pretty new to this and I'm just curious what's the benefit to lift heavier with less reps then lift lighter to more reps?

Can burn so much more and rip more muscle fibres which then results to burning more when you're resting as the muscle fibres then work harder to build.

You get stronger. (If you do it intelligently)

The only colored plates are the bumpers for deadlifts. Green=10, yellow=25, blue= 45

actually when your doing the exercise, cardio uses more calories than weights but after you stop you still burning calories this is called the EPOC effect(post exercise oxygen consumption) Weights are particularly good in women to prevent ageing and avoid osteoporosis.

    I hate red plates.
3 red plates is crazy heavy compared to 3 lb-plates.
    Lol-but not really.

I've not long started lifting about 9 weeks ago and I'm loving it! Still quite light: 115kg trap-bar deadlift, 82.5kg squat and my bench is only at 35kg or something (definitely my weakest!) ☺️ would love to have some more lifters on my feed so anyone feel free to add me! (On phone so it's not letting me easily add people myself)
