    You mean burn the fat layer off? No but it will strengthen your core some.

    I love hula hooping! It adds in some fun variety, it's cheap, and you can do it while watching tv.

    I wouldn't say it's the most effective core workout, but it does get some of the smaller muscles that I don't seem to work with other exercise.

    If you're hoping it will help spot reduce around your waistline, unfortunately no. Genetics and a calorie deficit are pretty much what determines where fat comes off. However, hula hooping is great exercise, and a lot of fun!
