To be honest, for me thinking about dietary changes is much harder than actually doing it. Getting started is the hardest part for many. Being nervous is pretty natural. :)

I would agree. I would also suggest reading a lot about it prior to starting and if you want to reduce nervousness, you can slowly transition into keto. Start by reducing carbs, increase fats and adding moderate amounts of protein. Then every week, drop carbs another 10g until you hit ketogenic levels (generally sub 50g net).

It seems so hard to do..maybe it's just me, nervous, I've never been nervous about trying diets. I lost 100lbs before by starting with American heart association 3 day diet, I did it for a month..continued on my own. But, health issues, I've gained it back..im disgusted, I've seen good resultsfrom keto.

you dont need any fad diets to lose weight properly. Just count and log your calories for accuracy and stay within your calorie goals for your BMR and exercise levels and desired weight loss.

If keto works for people thats great. But it is NOT necessary for you, especially if you are nervous about it.

Yup, it's a great way of eating. I find that my hunger is much more manageable and my bloating/gas disappears.

It's really not that hard - there are a lot of substitutions you can make. You can make keto-friendly desserts, baked goods, pizza, bread, etc. The main special ingredients I buy are: fine blanched almond meal, coconut flour, erythritol/stevia, xanthan gum. You can do a heck of a lot with those ingredients.

Here are some great recipes sites:

Welll just keep in mind, that regardless of the way you eat, it all comes down to calories and compliance. If keto is hard for you, maybe increase carbs. Just find foods that will allow you to stay in the game.
