    I totally agree! And then it upsets me when I do that thing I've been avoiding and it didn't take as long as I'd dreaded. I found this video a while back and it helped me get out of my dishwashing funk:

    I've never had a dishwasher. I run a sink of hot soapy water before I start cooking and wash as I go. It's much more manageable.

    But over all point taken, too.

    I like doing the dishes by hand, especially when the weather gets chilly.
