this is such an interesting thing. i was a size 20 and was 274. peoples' body makeups are just so different.
I never understood how someone could where such different clothing at different weights. BTW- I was 240 at a size 22. I am in the 260's now and wear a size 26 or 2-3X. Oh, I was thinking it also depends on how tightly you wear your clothing.0 -
Body make-ups are insane... the highest I got (196lbs) meant I was an 18 (UK). Weird.0

When I was at the 240-250 range, I was size 18-20 at 5'7" O-o I'm 170 now at size 14..
Does that have something to do with body shape too?0 -
I was a 22 at around 270 (I'm 5'11)0

245-265 I think (takes me a good chunk of weight loss to move a size). It was long ago so I may not be remembering correctly. I know I was a size 26/28 at 307+ (my last known weight after which I'm sure I gained at least 10 more pounds) and that I'm now a size 14 at 193. I started dropping sizes gradually faster as my weight went down.0

My body's very bottom-heavy. I'm at a 22-24 on the bottom but on top, a 20 often works. I'm at 287 lbs right now.RuNaRoUnDaFiEld wrote: »Different countries sizes are different so this thread is useless unless you write the country.
Not really, though. Most countries don't have the same sizes as the US, so a 22 doesn't even exist on our chart and we just compare our sizes to yours. I'm mostly a 52 in Germany, so a 22 in the US.
I think this thread is super useful for the purpose of showing people that it's not just about sizes and numbers. We forget that too often and compare ourselves to others.1 -
I started at 333 and was wearing 24-26. Im down almost 60 lbs. Now at 278ish im down to an 18.

I'm 5' 6.5" and was a US size 22 when I was @ 230 pounds.
I have a large frame http://www.myfooddiary.com/Resources/frame_size_calculator.asp
From this and the size 8 thread, when compared to other women my height, I seem to be heavier at the smaller size and lighter at the bigger size.0 -
5'3" size 22 i was around 280-2900

I am 5'2. When I was size 22 I was about 260.
I am currently size 18 at 209.0 -
I'm 6' and I currently wear 22s in most pants at 317.7lbs.1

Im pushing 320 ( heaviest I've ever been, issues have arose with my thyroid ): ), and am just now getting up to 18-20 in pants. I've always been more top heavy though. I'm also 5'90

I was a US size 22 at 248. I'm 5'10" and large-framed.0

I have stretchy Walmart tan colored pants, they're a size 20 and they're lose. I am 264 lbs at 5'5. I have not put on a real set of jeans in years, due to being too embarrassed to try on such big pants.0

I was probably a 22 at 272, 5'6". I wore 20s that were really stretchy and vanity. I'm 240 now and 20s are too loose but 18s are too tight to last the whole day. US sizes.0

I am size 22 in bottoms and I am 245. Tops 18/200

5'4 - when I was 270ish I was in a 22. I was in a 16 at 215.0

I'm 5'9" and at my starting weight of 275 I wore 20/22/24 depending on the cut/type of clothing. Size 24 if it was a dress (probably because I liked to wear them loose). Size 20-22 for pants, depending on the brand.
