Realizing I am the heaviest I have ever been is crushing but I KNOW I can do it this time. I can't go back, I can't keep getting bigger. This is no longer a choice, it is a necessity.
That is exactly the kind of wake-up call I had. Unfortunately, I needed it twice. The first time I broke 300 I got serious for a bit and dropped weight back down to my "normal" 270-275 range and swore "never again". Then in February of this year, I got above 290 again, and I thought about that promise I made to myself. Now I'm at 240 and thinking my goal of 225 needs to be moved lower. We can do this!

The easiest way I know of is to click on the bell icon (notifications), then click "all notifications" at the bottom of that pop-up, now after it takes you to that page click on "Replies". Now you can see all the posts you've made. Unless you post a lot, you should find it pretty quickly!

Successes / struggles this week: Still waiting for the job offer. I was told I was being hired, but I feel like I can't believe it until I see it because it is really my dream team job. I have some water weight from some carby eating over the 4th of July weekend, but it will come off and take a couple friends this next week so I am not too worried. I did 2 of my three lifting workouts this week, and replaced the third with hiking a couple hours in the mountains to see a ghost town and cemetery. So exercise is on point, diet not so much...

I am excited to participate. I am 34 and as most people in my age group, i was taught to "clean my plate" which typically consisted of fatty meats, multiple starch vegs, and some kind of desert with a big glass of sweet tea. (I'm from Alabama). In doing so, I have spent my entire life overweight. This month i decided to join Birmingham Bariatrics Food Program. It's a great program that i really enjoy. I do have a really long way to go. My goal is to be able to keep up with my 9 month old son.
