Hi! I'm 5'5" sitting at 231 pounds. I'm pretty high in weight and it's hard to compare myself to all the ladies of all shapes and sizes so I figured why not start this post to see what other people my height look like before and after their journey. (:
I hope this post encourages other 5'5" females or anyone in general (: thanks!

I am 43 years old, 5' 5.5" and I started at 260 pounds on Jan 11th of this year. The picture shows the comparison of me from 260 to 186.2, but I am actually down to 181.8 now. I changed my diet, weigh my food and move more.

5'4 3/4" (according to my dr.) Here is my success story. I'm maintaining at 130-132 but would like to drops a couple more real pounds that I gained on a gluttonous reward trip to Maui in May. Do this while you are young, before the weight really affects your health. Your body and your mind will really apprecialte it. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10497297/one-year-50-pounds-gone#latest5

*LOOK AT YOU**!! WOW, great job and such a reward, these pictures! The best reward: feeling better, more confident, relieved, smaller, healthier, more attractive, etc., etc., etcetera..... =>3 -

Success story - without pics because my highest weight pic was wasted on an audition for Biggest Loser (or something like it) years ago. Was about 300, hadn't weighed for some time. It took me 7ish years to lose 130 pounds. I have gained and lost along the last several years but always maintained at least 80 pounds to the good. I want to lose another 20 pounds for sure on this round of getting it back off and may dabble at a final 10 after that.
My life was significantly impacted going from a size 26 to a size 10 and even gaining some weight and having to re-lose it has not diminished that.9 -
Forgot to note - I am 5'4...

I am 5ft 5 and 22 years old. I have gone from 141 pounds to 121 pounds I went from a UK size 10-12 to a middle UK size 8. It took me approx 3-4 months to get where I am now however I'd still love to tone up a bit more!

I am 5'5", 56 years old and have lost (so far) 60 lbs. My starting weight in 2012 was 219 .. I am now 158. Size wise I was into 15/16 and now wear 8/10 (with an occasional size 6 That might seem like a long time for 60 lbs but weight loss wasn't my motivator when I started being more active, mobility was! I was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease called Facioscapularhumeral (FSH) muscular dystrophy and I wanted to be more active so I would not be in a wheelchair like my mom at 72 .. the weight loss was a bonus! When I started I could not stand on one foot to take my sock off nor reach overhead to get something off of a top shelf ... I am now doing 5K runs (and not tripping). Last summer when I hit a plateau at 181 I realized I was stronger, had more energy and could do things I had done for a long long time, my focus changed and I wanted to continue 'downsizing' so I started doing the 5:2 intermittent fasting (Dr. Mosley) and have been steadily and consistently losing ever since. I hope my story and photos help encourage you. Good luck!!

Not to be a downer and all, but you do know that 110 lbs is underweight for someone 5'6" (BMI 17.8) by about 5 lbs. Be careful.6 -
I am 5 foot 4 and I lost 70 lbs. I have a weight loss blog where I post recipes and tips and my weight loss story is on there www.bigtinysteps.com0

Yup, I've been keeping an eye on my BMI and I'm aware it's technically underweight but I have a pretty healthy lifestyle, have no health problems like periods stopping and I don't think I look thin or bony or anything4 -
I'm 5'5" and 25 years old. I started out at 232 and have lost just under 40lbs since February. This is just my before and during...I would still like to lose another 30-40lbs, but I'm taking it slow and trying to be healthy about it.
