I am 5'5", 56 years old and have lost (so far) 60 lbs. My starting weight in 2012 was 219 .. I am now 158. Size wise I was into 15/16 and now wear 8/10 (with an occasional size 6 That might seem like a long time for 60 lbs but weight loss wasn't my motivator when I started being more active, mobility was! I was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease called Facioscapularhumeral (FSH) muscular dystrophy and I wanted to be more active so I would not be in a wheelchair like my mom at 72 .. the weight loss was a bonus! When I started I could not stand on one foot to take my sock off nor reach overhead to get something off of a top shelf ... I am now doing 5K runs (and not tripping). Last summer when I hit a plateau at 181 I realized I was stronger, had more energy and could do things I had done for a long long time, my focus changed and I wanted to continue 'downsizing' so I started doing the 5:2 intermittent fasting (Dr. Mosley) and have been steadily and consistently losing ever since. I hope my story and photos help encourage you. Good luck!!

I'm an inch taller than you asked for at 5 ft 6
I don't have any before photos that show my whole body (I avoided the camera!) but I've lost just over 20lbs and hit under 110lbs for the first time and I'm feeling pretty good!!6 -

Not to be a downer and all, but you do know that 110 lbs is underweight for someone 5'6" (BMI 17.8) by about 5 lbs. Be careful.6 -

Yup, I've been keeping an eye on my BMI and I'm aware it's technically underweight but I have a pretty healthy lifestyle, have no health problems like periods stopping and I don't think I look thin or bony or anything4 -
I'm 5'5" and 25 years old. I started out at 232 and have lost just under 40lbs since February. This is just my before and during...I would still like to lose another 30-40lbs, but I'm taking it slow and trying to be healthy about it.
