    I'm just wondering what is so horrible about my posts that they get completely deleted off a thread but others far worse/offensive do not get touched. That's all.

    Happy Birthday! I have that happen a lot even with family. My parents didn't even tell me happy Birthday this year. I don't really care much for birthdays or celebrating most things. I've always been kind of meh about getting gifts & birthday wishes, so it was no big deal.

    Hope you have a fantastic birthday though! Go out & have a nice meal, a margarita & a mani/pedi or something special.

    If I can have a vacation for just me. Disappear just for a day or two, and not have to worry about anything accept what I am doing at that moment.

    In some families (like mine) birthdays are not a big deal. We spend so much time together going to church, playing golf, going out to dinner together, etc. that a simple gesture like paying for the others meal or a "happy birthday you old fart" is more than enough.
