The NSV, the next morning I got up and went back to my planned meal prep. I resisted the angry mental voice to 'not eat today' to balance out the bad I had done. I logged all the calories I went over. I went back to exercising and this morning my weight was lower than the day before the binge.
Now that I am in a regular routine with meal prep and exercise, the mental demons are coming out. But I am getting stronger at battling or ignoring it now!
Good for you! I went on vacation for a few days and didn't track anything I ate... and I KNOW I made some poor eating decisions... came back home to discover that I'd gained 5 lbs but I took responsibility for my actions and am now prepping meals, tracking calories and exercising every day. I will NOT allow a few days of being "naughty" derail me completely!18 -

I've found that's the true key to consistency. Telling yourself being bad momentarily will not license me to be bad forever!8 -

My boob size and underwear. Nobody really told me that I will have change in breast etc. also smaller fingers and hands. Last summer I was about 300 lbs now down to 258 lbs. I was looking at my pictures from last summer and my hands were swollen and big.20

It was my daughters 11th birthday on Tuesday and there was ...cake! She also wanted whipped cream in a can with it .... I had cake, less than 2" square and a small amount of cream ontop, doesn't seem like a victory right? The victory is I didn't take the can and Squirt half of it in my mouth ... win!29

I had some disappointing news today, which immediately made me want ice cream to feel better. I walked into the ice cream shop, stared at the flavor board for a minute, and left. Then, I stopped in the coffee shop next door, stared at the cookies, turned around and left. I did not buy anything and I did not eat anything that I had not planned to eat today. This is a win in my fight against emotional eating.57

I went to a freaking yoga class for the first time in 3 years and had no trouble holding downward dog for an extended period of time. That should also go in the confessions thread...I went to yoga. Yuck.20

Started a new job two weeks ago. It's a full time office job compared to the part-time active job I've had since January. I was really afraid of losing my routine because the last time I was in an office job I was very inactive and put on 20lbs.
This morning I'm heading out to the gym before my second Friday with my lunch already packed as I've done every day of the new job so far! Haven't missed a day in the gym and have stuck to diet every day too29 -

Then I hung up a pair of shorts my husband had worn on vacation and had the same issue. What? My not-that-fat 180 pound husband's shorts don't fit the hanger either? I checked the tag, 34. No way they will fit me, but I pull them on for a laugh. They were too tight to be attractive, but I was able to get them all the way up zip and button them. Now I have a new silly goal of outshrinking my husband's clothes as well.
You hang up your shorts??10 -

My husband asks me to hang up his gym clothes *smh*
My goal in life, however, is to do as little as possible. So I throw mine in a drawer and dig around for the ones I want when the time comes.7 -

I hang everything but socks and undies. Makes it a lot easier to stay organized.5 -
NSV I: The new neighbor seems a little flirty lately. Smiles at me, stops to chat for a bit, and actually called me by name!
NSV II: A pair of white jeans too small for me last year (couldn't get them up past my lower thighs) fit PERFECT today!!!25 -

Update: I am wearing those size 14 jeans at work today. And I am sitting down, with my legs crossed, comfortably! Yay!28 -
I don't need 12 hours of sleep a night anymore, 8-10 feels good and that's a first!!22

89 days logging every single bite (only three days off due to weekend beer festival shenanigans) and today is the first day I see a difference -- albeit a very, very tiny difference -- in the mirror. I can see it in pics but until today, not in real life.23

Got a couple.
Got the 1.5 million step badge on my Garmin in three months. Running 20-25 miles a week really adds those steps up.
Improved my best training 5K time to 26 minutes flat. Previous best was 27:30 and that was in a race, which is usually where I post my best times, so next competitive 5K I really hope to be in the 25 minute range. I have improved my time by over 9 minutes since I started running last December.
Keep gaining those NSVs everyone!!25 -
What is nsv? I've been told before but honestly I have a horrible memory.I apologize
nsv = non-scale victory
Ha ha ha.... I have been checking this thread for months and I just assumed nsv meant New Small Victory!
I see why it is non-scale, but I still like mine!
All the stories on here are always so fun and inspiring!12 -

Same here. I don't even use a dresser anymore. All of my socks and underwear are in a little basket that fits in my nightstand.4 -

Last summer, the regulars at the pool were all quicker and had more stamina than I. Today, they were already in the pool when I arrived, and not only did I pass them, but I maintained my much faster pace the entire time!
Also, I have been writing and am on-track to submit my article to editors of a journal for possible publication next week. And, I've been drafting fall syllabi and preparing some lectures and classes. I haven't been able to work like this -- easily, ahead of the game, organized, feeling prepared -- in so, so long. I didn't realize how much I was dragging now that I am feeling so much better.32 -
Today was the first time since I started eating healthier (3 weeks ago) that I planned to get lunch in the cafeteria at work. I had my whole lunch planned out to be sure I would make good choices... then my boss surprised us by saying he was taking us out to lunch. While everyone else shared pepperoni pizza and piles of bread, I ordered a big salad with turkey and cheese and dressing on the side... and I was perfectly happy with it. For the first time in my life, I had zero cravings for the pizza and there was no internal struggle to have "just one slice". I couldn't believe it!29

I just finished week 6 of c25k. I'm shocked I can jogg for two miles now! I may be a slow *kitten* runner but damn it I am one!31
