I haven't gotten that much of it, but I'm also married and 48 years old. I've gotten a few weirdos but I get rid of them by purposely acting extremely boring to them until they bugger off.6

I tried putting up a face pic. No bites yet, and it doesn't get much more sexy and mysterious than this. I guess we disproved that theory.

I never added or made requests until I had lurked around awhile and became more familiar with who is who...who had similar interests, etc...5

Exactly this. I don't get why people get all bent out of shape over private messages or this being a dating site blah blah blah. It takes 1 second to delete a message you find inappropriate. You don't HAVE to reply if you feel it's that thirsty.12 -

I usually don't add anyone with less than a 100 posts unless they sent a request from one of the keto threads. If they have 100 posts or more, then there's usually plenty to search from to see if they're stupid or not. It also usually bypasses the ones that quit the page after a week or two.3

I have great male friends here who respect me and leave me alone. So no, you don't need to resort to just a female friends list. Just weed out the ones with interior motives. Simple as that.2
