What running shoes would you recommend?
Get gait analysis and recommendations from a specialist running shop.
I wear new balance, but that doesnt mean they'd be right for you.1 -

For shoes, you should get fitted at a running store. They will analyze your gait to determine if you pronate, are neutral, or supinate all of which will determine what an appropriate shoe for you is. From there they'll likely bring out several brand to try on and you pick the one that is most comfortable.
Brand isn't particularly important...proper fit it huge.4 -
Cartwheels and head/hand stands.
Just to see if I can learn to do them again after 50 years. Old dog new tricks kind of thing.
Cheers, h.5 -
Deadlifts, squats, bench and pull-ups6

Really trying to make some headway on my cleans and jerks...been stalled out for awhile.4

Deadlifts- I can do them correctly with an empty bar essentially forever but add a little weight and I lose form. Sticking with just the bar for now, but don't know how to improve just yet >.<5

My goal for the next 18 months is to run a marathon fast enough to qualify to run Boston. I'm about 20 minutes off the pace so I have some work to do.
After than (regardless of my success with BQ), I want to learn to swim and participate in a few triathlons.
So I have things to get better at for at least the next 5-7 years. Then I'll find a new challenge.7 -

I will be ramping up my running for a trail marathon late September.4

Swimming and transitions.....I was pretty happy with my race this past weekend until I realized I did the duathlon version 20 minutes faster in 2015 (difference in swim time & slower T1 dealing with wet feet)2

Running/ Jogging without stopping. For a whole mile, and then some.8

Bench. Becoming as mechanically efficient as I physically can.3

Sing. Italian. Contractual law. Calculus. World domination.6

Bench - want to hit reps with 4 plates total (225lbs), currently at 165lbs
Squat - want to hit reps with 6 plates total (315lbs), currently at 270lbs
Deadlift - want to hit reps with 8 plates total (405lbs), currently at 340lbs
This may take me months but they are all achievable.4 -

Google working with chains on the bar. The idea behind it is you can increase resistance at the top of the lift and keep it the same at the bottom.2
