I'm a Muslim, not a Christian, so maybe not quite welcome here... And yet even I think this. [/quote]
Come, join the group. I personally am from a family that is half Muslim, half Christian. If you've ever wanted to ask questions, we'd love to spend time with you. Even if you just want to sit back and watch-you are welcome.

Thank you for your welcome, that's very kind of you! I must say that I love your attitude and eloquence, this entire thread has been a wonderful read. Regardless of the religion one might believe in, the way you explain and answer every question with effort and grace is a beautiful way to bring others to God. There aren't enough people, believers though they be, who would take that kind of time and effort (or remember their manners in the heat of debate, I'm ashamed to say), so I'd like to thank you for it.9 -

I'm sorry for the delyed reply,
I know the obvious answer to this is just say "thank you" and be done with it, so please do not think me ungracious for this.
Your words are extremely kind and gracious, and it's wonderful to hear that that is what you see! I have to point you away from me and back to Jesus though. Because what you see, is simply His work in my heart over a long period of time. He has been so patient and gentle with me.
By nature, I am an introvert. Over time, I became an extreme introvert. By practice, I withdrew far from people for a very long time. By nature, I do not even like people let alone love them. People exhaust me. Conversations completely drain me of energy. But He is absolutely changing that in me.
Because I know how great His love is for me, and it is a treasure I cannot contain. I want nothing more than to tell of His great love to every person reading this, and to show it in a tangible way! That is something he has done in my heart-and I am amazed myself! I agree with you wholeheartedly-we need more of this!
I do very much appreciate your gracious words! Thank you.

Not specifically Baptist, Methodist, Anglican, Catholic, etc. Most of the nondenominational churches that I am familiar with have Baptist-type beliefs (adult rather than infant baptism, etc.)3 -

"Nondenominational church congregations may establish a functional denomination by means of mutual recognition of or accountability to other congregations and leaders with commonly held doctrine, policy, and worship without formalizing external direction or oversight in such matters."
Nondenominational Christianity - Wikipedia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/nondenominational_christianity_hackersafe]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nondenominational_Christianity
"Is non denominational a religion?
A non-denominational church or organization is one that is not associated with any specific established Christian denomination. For this reason, non-denominational Christian churches decide on their own policies, worship rituals and leadership methods. They quite simply call themselves Christians in service of God. "

Hey, I need to clarify and I'm so sorry about this- The group above was started for anyone who wanted to ask questions about Jesus. It came about from a discussion in the middle of the thread, but was not intended to hijack this thread by any means-I'm really sorry about that. Complete miscommunication on my part.
As far as I know the OP of this thread (Looking to God instead of food), has not started a group-she was saying we should though. A few other groups(great groups) have been mentioned within this thread if you do a quick skim.
