    i'm gonna be away til monday night, can i weigh in on tuesday or would it be better to just weigh in tomorrow?

    no need to worry! the challenge starts monday, aug 1 so the first weigh in will be next sunday/monday!!

    ummm ok so i have to revise my goals again, cause ive lost like 5 more pounds? is this normal? i think maybe its water weight, but im not sure. so here's my new stuff.

    Very familiar with the lake, I lived next to it for a few years when I first moved from home!

    Yep, I'm the other Cambridge person (and yes, and MIT student). What a coincidence we were all placed in the same team! I'm currently living in the Kendall Square area, but would love to meet up sometime to work out. I'm actually going home (Austin, TX) for most of August, though, to visit the parents, but I'm up for anything once I return in September :)

    OK GUYS HERE IS THE CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK!!!! DAY 1 = MONDAY AUG !

    AUGUST CHALLENGE WEEK 1
    This is the week one team challenge. This should be done in addition to your normal workout routine.
    This is a challenge and is not a replacement! If you need a beginner workout please contact your team
    captain for ideas.

    Week One Daily Exercise Challenge
    Each team member that completes their daily exercise challenge receives one point, if all team
    members complete each daily exercise for all 6 days the team is then awarded an additional 5 Bonus
    Points.
    Day 1 Exercise Challenge - 100 Jumping Jacks*(see below)
    Day 2 Exercise Challenge – Walk, Run or Jog 1 Mile (extra)
    Day 3 Exercise Challenge – 50 Situps or Ab Crunches*
    Day 4 Exercise Challenge – 40 UP and Downs *
    Day 5 Exercise Challenge – 25 Pushups *
    Day 6 Exercise Challenge – 25 Squat Lunges*
    Day 7 Rest! You deserve it!

    If you are uncertain on how to do an exercise get with your captains as they will have a weblink to each
    exercise.

    Week One Weekly Team Challenge

    Each team member in order to get the weekly team bonus points must all log every day and not go over
    their target calories and log at least 64 oz. of water each day. If each team member does this all 6 days
    your team will be awarded 5 Bonus Points.

    *Feel free to do these exercises in sets if you are unable to do them all at one time. Please do your best
    as you are much stronger than you believe.

    Please note each week the exercises will increase in difficulty. This will push each team member.
    Modifications will be provided for those who unable to complete the exercise as intended

    im so excited about this! im not quite sure what up and downs are though! i also have a question about how we will log our progress, should we just post on here and be like "i did it!"? I know you can look at our diaries and see that we were under on our calories and got all our water in. IM READY!!!

    So pumped up for this! I have a few questions

    =Can I do a low impact version? I cannot jump on my leg yet. (1 arm 1 leg/ swtch sides, fast enough ot get to aerobic state)

    Day 2 Exercise Challenge – Walk, Run or Jog 1 Mile (extra) - I can do this!
    Day 3 Exercise Challenge – 50 Situps or Ab Crunches* I can do this!

    Day 4 Exercise Challenge – 40 UP and Downs *
    No idea what this is

    Day 5 Exercise Challenge – 25 Pushups *
    wall pushups or knee pushups acceptable?

    Day 6 Exercise Challenge – 25 Squat Lunges*
    Not sure what this is

    Day 7 Rest! You deserve it!

    I have the same questions as railreader...not sure what a couple of these are?

    And also, suggestion, this forum is gonna get so huge if we keep this one for the whole month. I suggest having a weekly forum. to minimize how many pages we have to jump thru to catch up on everybody (cheer them on) and check in.
