            Morning quiet, serene. Birds sing.
Train slides by. Massive metal on rails.
Torrential quiet dissipates...then resumes.

Life is much better these days
I still have sad times
Only twenty three
My daughter taken from me
Far too young to die2 -
            Long time gone; away
Some things never change I see
Despierto hoy1 -
            Poetry has died.
So sad a thing to witness.
Many things unsaid.0 -

My heart breaks to hear this news.
Silence speaks volumes.1 -

Simple it is now0 -

In the mood for buttered toast
My life is so hard1 -
            I have just made toast.
Buttered, too, and with jelly.
There room for one more?1 -
            If you’d be so kind
To share a bit of your toast
There may be some room!
