My brain hasn't yet caught up with my body and much of the time I still see myself as I was 2 years ago. Occasionally I'll catch a glimpse in a mirror and think OMG I'm starting to look pretty good, and I'm thinking it more often than I used to but still my body isn't where I want it yet and I'm my own worst critic.
I know, right? It goes - but nothing goes back to what it was when you were at this weight, the last time... lol.
Of course, the last time I weighed what I weigh, now, I was only 19 years old. Guess we can't turn back the clock quite that far.
Great work!1 -

So less than three months since I updated my goals and I've hit the biggest of them, and finally got down to my original goal weight of <150lb, meaning I've lost a massive 10 stone (140lb). I've taken a week to think about where I want to go from here and I've decided to spend the rest of the year recomping, eating as near to maintenance as possible and hopefully building a little muscle while losing a little fat.
So the challenges I've mastered are (new bits in italics :
Run my first 10K (in 1hr 34) : new best is 1:13:37
Run my first Half Marathon (cross country in 3:33)
Run my first chipped Half Marathon : (2:43:44 a massive 50mins faster than my last half)
Deadlifted bodyweight (actually got to 95kg so 20kg above bodyweight) : Up to 98.5kg now
Squat bodyweight (for reps no less)
Learnt to do burpees
Learnt to do mountain climbers
Got through an Insanity class without modding
Built my core strength enough to do crunches, sit ups and heel taps.
Held a plank for 1minx3
Lost 140lb to get under 150lb
And my challenges for the future
1. Run a full marathon in 2018
2. Run an ultra before I'm 50
3. Deadlift 100kg
4. Squat 75kg
5. Master single leg squats
6. Master hanging leg raises
7. Run a sub 30min 5K
8. Run a sub hour 10k
9. Run a sub 2:30 half marathon
10. Bench 50kg
And here's the obligatory progress pic, slightly different as I'm now looking at working on how my body looks rather than the weight, so apologies for the crop top.

You are awesome! So many victories in such a short time are just baffling. And you look so happy I can't help but be very happy for you, too. :-)0

So I've been in maintenance mode for just under 6 weeks now along with having spent the 6 weeks holidays concentrating on lower weight, higher rep and upper body. Now I'm not saying there has been a huge difference but I'm definitely seeing some changes and have been trying to take some progress shots to show those changes.
My usual style progress shot.

Haven't updated this for quite a while. All weight loss has been put on hold since the beginning of the year as I'm training for a marathon on Sunday week. In fact I've put on around half a stone (7lb) since the 1st Jan, but I've also clocked up well over 400 running km despite a couple of weeks where I was stuck using the treadmill as it wasn't worth risking injury running in the ice. Got myself a new unofficial half marathon time of 2:29:57 And an official, chipped time of 2:35:13. Oh and I'm getting so much closer to the 30min 5km, down to 31:15 now and my 10km pb is 1:07 (hopefully that'll go down on Sunday when I'm doing a fun run).
For obvious reasons weight training has taken a back seat, I've been doing pyramid upper body work and a lot of bodyweight/trx with my PT but nothing particularly heavy. Have to admit I'm really starting to be so over running and can't wait to get back in the squat rack.
And the obligatory photos, love the back view, I just look so skinny and really can't see where the weight has gone on and then the front, well as you can see I've managed not to lose much (or any) upper body muscle mass even with the reduced weights. And finally one of me near the finish of my latest half marathon, just because I look so strong and happy.
