Has anyone had a neighborhood boy come now the yard for you? Not sure if I'd have to worry about age and such.

We hired the neighbor teen this summer. He's responsible. And we're home when he does it. He loves the cash and we love the freedom of not having to do it.

I have never hired someone to mow and I have mown others lawn like my mum and grandma.

It's only a quick 30-60 min job every few weeks over summer and every few months over winter.

I no have a lawn but when I did I hired out. It's a lot of work to cut the grass, trim the edges and snip the bushes.

    Please hire me

Both. I do the weeding, hire someone to do the mowing and tree trimming.

I live in an apartment in Berlin. Berlin doesn't believe in lawns. Perfect.

For period of time they didn't believe in world peace either. Maybe if they had lawns....

I just sent a text telling my lawn-care-provider (aka Zach) that my yard was looking shaggy and that his check for $75 is in the wreath in the front door.

That was grueling and I am exhausted...

Well, it wouldn't do much based on the video. It keeps starting and then stopping, only to repeat.

    It eventually finishes though.

We both take care of it.. we decided that we will keep doing it until we get to old to do it.. another way to keep moving and active and some satisfaction too from doing it yourself..

If I had a riding mower I probably wouldn't mind doing it but when you have to push a mower up on an incline in 95 degree hot humid weather it's not fun at all. I wonder how many calories I burn though, hmm?

Another reason I miss living in the city.

For 45 minutes I get 304 calories.Mine is not all incline though, and the temperature is usually a little lower than 95 degrees.

I am too scared to hire it out. Dont trust others touching my lawn

You do have to do a background check and health screening first, that makes it less scary. While you're at it you may want to check their credit score.

My neighbour's house was recently robbed by his old faithful gardener.

It is a matter of money vs time. How much is your time worth. Do you get something more out of doing it yourself?
For me, it is something I like doing. I like doing the yard work. If I had children involved in sports every weekend, is probably have to pay someone.
One of my brothers lives in a pricy neighborhood. His neighbors asked him why he didn't hire out. They thought it odd that a lawyer, married to another lawyer was doing manual labor by choice.
He didn't hire a crew until his daughters got to busy with sports on the weekends.
