Quest - best amount of protein bang for my calorie buck, while still tasting good. Salted Caramel and Cinnamon Crunch are my favorite.

I also like Trutein. Pumpkin Pie makes amazing protein pancakes.

  • Big fan BPI Whey HD, but having trouble finding it again. I think for the money, Gold Standard is hard to beat.

Right now my go-tos are Quest and Pro Jym (great, clean, blended proteins) for post-workout, and GNC Pro Performance100% Casein or Dymatize Elite Casein at bedtime. I mixed the Quest Cinnamon Crunch flavor with the Peanut Butter flavor. Presto! Peanut Butter Cinnamon Toast. Pro Jym Chocolate Mousse is on point! GNC Casein has a great, rich chocolate flavor, but doesn't mix very well. Need LOTS of water for the right consistency.

    QUEST: 110 cals, 1g fat, 2g carb, 1g fiber, 23g protein, 1g sugar
    PRO JYM: 150 cals, 4g fat, 6g carb, 2g fiber, 24g protein, 1g sugar
GNC CASEIN: Calories 120, Total Fat 1g, Total Carbs 3g, Dietary Fiber 1g, Sugars 1g, Protein 25g
DYMATIZE: Calories 120, Total Fat 2g, Total Carbs 4g, Protein 24g

Has anyone tried the Motiv8 Dessert Proteins? I saw it as a sponsor for Gracie's Journey on YouTube and I was curious about it.
Quest seems like a good option. Thanks for starting this thread! I needed it!

Based on taste and low cost, my faves are Chocolate Cytosport by Muscle Milk (available in 6# bags for $40 at Costco) and Stevia Chocolate by MyProtein (when offered on sale in 11# bags for around $70 online).

    Isopure zero carb vanilla.

    105 calories.
    0 carbs.
    1 g fat.
    25 G protein.

I add it straight to half a standard 16 oz bottle of water and shake. Dissolves easy and tastes great.

They have bunch of other flavors - the coffee one has real coffee grounds mixed in which I thought was cool.

Why powder vs premade? I can't tolerate the powders, I think they're beyond awful. Pure Protein and Premier Protein (chocolate for both) are the only ones I can take.

I'm going to order some samples of Quest to try on my protein ice creams once I get through most of my Trutein Birthday Cake.

As lame as it may sound, I buy the Chocolate Whey Protein Islate from the Bulk Barn. It actually tastes delicious and is a lot less expensive than many other brands because bulk!

    Per 3tbsp serving (35g): Calories: 116, Protein: 25g, Carbs: 3g, Fat: <1g
