I'm a krispy kreme person by far! Dunkin is so dense and overrated to me!

Nothing beats a fresh hot Krispy Kreme donut10 -
This is a cardo or weights question in disguise, isn't it?
Answer: BOTH!7 -
KRISPY KREME, hands down2
-
The only time Krispy Kreme is any good is when it's fresh off the conveyor belt. More than 10 minutes past that and I think it's awful.
Of course I was raised with Dunkin' Donuts, and while they're equally bad when stale, they seem to survive more than an hour or two out of the oven. Give me a DD chocolate cake glazed anytime.6 -
Ugh...neither. Our local bakery called The Donut Bank puts them both to shame!1
-
I'm a donut locavore. I've done the Dunkin and KK, but was never impressed by either.1

Impossible question.
Dunkin's coffee is better, and I do love their chocolate donut holes - nobody else seems to have those.
The Kristy Kreme creme-filled are out of this world.
But for a standard, glazed donut, you cannot beat Shipley. They're wonderful anytime, but if you go on a busy morning, you get them hot out of the oven, and oh my word, there is just nothing better.0 -
I give the slight nod to Krispy Kreme, with the chocolate iced glazed with sprinkles being my primary go-to. Though I admit that since Dunkin is much closer to my apartment that they get my business much more frequently. At Dunkin, my personal favs are the old fashioned and the brownie batter, depending on my mood.0

Tiny ring doughnuts covered in cinnamon that you buy from a fairground that have just come out of the fryer and burn your palate .....5

KK, not even a contest between them & DD.1
-
I live in San Francisco and I have never had a DD, but I know I hate KK's2
-
I only like KK if they are fresh as they can get, and even then they're soooooo sweet. Prefer DD, though the Giant near me has fabulous donuts and when I get a hankering, I go there (closest DD and local donut shop is 25 minutes away).1
-
Neither - the local guy in the strip center down the street has way better donuts and coffee!1
-
Krispy Kreme all the way. Best donuts ever.1
-
Neither. Tim Horton's donuts.6
-
KK >> DD. But our local grocery store is better than both.2
-
We only have Tim Horton's here (and I'm in Ohio). But Dunkin Donuts by far.1
-
I don't have either with 60 miles of me. What I do have is a variety of locally owned and operated donut shops. They all kind of suck though because of the lack of competition of good donut shops like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts.0

Dunkin Donut cake donuts are AMAZING!1

Absolutely! Can't beat Dunkin coffee. Their donuts are not as good as they used to be.0 -

Neither for me.1

Donuts, generally: Not worth the calories.
A nice fresh cannoli, heavy on the ricotta in the filling, however . . . .1 -
I'll go to either shop, but definitely Krispy Kreme.0
-
I second the vote for shipley's. I love their cherry iced.1
