Diet friendly way to satisfy chocolate craving?

What are some good products that satisfy a chocolate craving? Obviously low-cal. Could be low-carb or low-fat.
I've grown quite fond of the Atkins chocolate candies, the imitation M&Ms. Looking for other ideas.
Bonus points for high-protein

Eat what you are craving. Weigh it and make it fit.14

Do you like dark chocolate? I have found that just a small piece satisfies my chocolate craving...much more than milk chocolate, which I am more likely to overeat.
Or low-fat chocolate milk may be a good option...and has some protein.15 -
I just make a Hershey bar fit in my day. 230 calories.
Many people say fudgesicles work.7 -
Halo Top kills two birds with one stone for me. Chocolate and Ice cream.8
-
chocolate flavored protein powder?8

I just get the mini size of candybars..then I can still have a snicker, and it's just one bite...2

45cal fudge bars for me.1

Mix it with plain greek yogurt for "pudding." Quest chocolate milkshake flavor is pretty good like this.4 -

My breakfast pretty much every morning is plain greek yogurt mixed with some flavor of protein powder and frozen berries. The chocolate milkshake with strawberries is yummy.
The values are calories, protein, fat, carb, in that order.

As far as "diet" foods go I like the Fiber One brownies.3

For me, the best way to satisfy a craving for chocolate is to eat chocolate. If I try to substitute with something else, I end up eating the chocolate eventually anyway!SuzySunshine99 wrote: »Do you like dark chocolate? This works for me... 85% and above is perfect, I can have just one or two squares and be happy. If I have anything sweeter, I'll keep going back to the bar for a couple more squares until it's gone. Milk chocolate, although I love it, is VERY hard for me to moderate.
I also second the fat-free Fudgsicle suggestion - 45 calories and makes a nice chocolatey treat, although not as rich as a piece of good dark chocolate.
ETA: Yes, the Fiber One brownies are nice too! Quite rich and satisfying.4 -
I am also fond of the Atkins Endulge chocolates. Lily's chocolate is sweetened with stevia. Another favorite for me is avocado chocolate pudding---avocado, 1T greek yogurt, vanilla, cocoa powder, and stevia. A little sea salt makes it taste SO good. One of these days I'll get around to trying choco perfection, which is sweetened with stevia/monkfruit. I am also a proponent of IIFYM.1

When you're saying "satisfy chocolate craving", you're implying they can be satisfied, so there is no reason to jump through any hoops - have a small amount of whatever you fancy most, and log it, and you'll easily stay within your calorie goal.6

Pure Protein chocolate deluxe bars for 180 calories, 21 grams protein. Kirkland Protein bars (chocolate brownie & chocolate chip cookie dough). 21 grams protein & 190 calories. Because they have so much fiber (15 grams), I cut them in half and only have half at a time for 95 calories.
20 calorie Nestle sugar free fat free cocoa mix mixed into plain yogurt or plain Greek yogurt.1 -

um. ok. that's nice, but not particularly helpful. Of course you can just eat whatever you want and log the calories.
I'm trying to figure out way to eat MORE, or better, without adding extra calories.7 -
I get the 100-cal dark chocolate bars from Trader Joes (they have milk chocolate too). For me, any individually-packaged chocolate does the job without risking overdoing it (personally, I can't just have a bag of chocolate chips in the house).
Other ideas:
* Trail mix w/ chocolate in it
* Cocoa powder mixed with coconut milk, vanilla, and chia seeds (lots of chia pudding recipes on Pinterest)- add a banana and you've got chocolate-PB pudding and the banana works as sweetener. You can also add whatever sweetener you like (personally I might add 1/8 tsp of real sugar), or honey, or maple syrup.
* Fudgesicles
* Slice bananas into little medallions and dip in hardening chocolate. Freeze. Chocolate-covered banana bites!
* Ice cream- Halo Top, Skinny Cow, or mini-drumsticks5 -

On the MFP blog within this app there is a excellent recipe for sweet potato brownies. I am telling you, awesome. High protein, very low sugar.1

My protein supplements are all chocolate favored. This has helped me SO MUCH in the chocolate craving area of my life.. and trust me I'm a huge chocolate lover.0

oh come on
more chocolate WITHOUT more calories is literally the point of this thread. I don't see how you don't get this.9 -
Chocolate frozen yogurt? Fruit with a little chocolate dip? A tablespoon of Hershey's cocoa powder mixed with vanilla Greek yogurt? I think one or all of those would work!1

1 square of 86% dark chocolate after dinner. 60 cals. Very satisfying. Get the individually wrapped squares by Ghiardelli if your store has them. It discourages you from eating extras.6

Zucchini brownies are also good.
Cocoa dusted almonds are great too.1 -
I do not have a huge sweet tooth myself. I would much prefer french fries or chicken tenders to sweets, but when I get an inkling I find that the company Skinny Cow has the best wares for chocolate from a bang for your calorie buck perspective.
Of their candy bars, I like the milk chocolate cream. It's 110 calories and tastes pretty much just as good as a legit candy bar. They also have caramel filled candies called divines that are low calorie and bring the goods as far as taste. Of their ice cream, while not my personal favorite they have an ice cream sandwich typed bar called 'always chocolate' that I am guessing would be your jam. They also have a chocolate truffle bar on a stick I am betting you could get into as well.
Skinny Cow is a tad pricey in my opinion, but most "diet" food is.

I'm going to follow this thread because it's getting interesting. "more chocolate without more calories" sounds like nirvana. When someone has an answer I'm all over that s***.4

Cocoa is pure chocolate with some of the fat removed. So this chocolate purist uses a lot of cocoa.

When I have hardly any calories left I have one or two Dove dark chocolate promises. They are 40 cals each and are really rich when you let them melt in your mouth a little. Or Jello pudding cups.
If I have a few more cals, I could go Halo Top or chocolate chips mixed in ricotta cheese, or Yasso frozen yogurt bars.4
