This is a collection of NSV's that I'm just now getting around to posting.
I fit into a size 12 in shorts, which I haven't done in years.
A bra that I couldn't wear bc it felt like being in corset now fits wonderfully, and I can breathe in it.
Last but definitely not least, I looked in the mirror today and didn't hate myself.37 -
@ek0513 Nice fish in your picture.

I can hardly believe it, but I have a 200 day streak on MFP!35

Yesterday I ventured to the free weights section which is intimidating in itself. I was using the squat rack but in my 90 second recovery between sets. A guy asked if I was using it. It would have been so easy to give it up because he was huge and I'm squatting with an empty bar right now. But I told him yes I was using it and had 3 sets left but that I'd let him know when I was finished. Go me! I failed on the 5th set and had to do the role of shame to get out from under the bar - but still...47

Pulled out my sewing machine, searched online for how to alter bras, and successfully downsized my bra bands on two bras and one sports bra by two inches each. Not that difficult, the fit is great, and I saved the money I thought I'd have to spend on new ones.38

@DebLaBounty which website did you go with for directions on resizing bras? I've looked at some but some seem to have contrary information. I'd love to know one with a success story.3 -

I'm taking a class in stress management through physical activity. Today we had our initial assessment. I have two NSV's from this.
One: The teacher made a point to reinforce that it wasn't a competition. For the most part, I was able to take this to heart. I have not started beating myself up over the items where I was toward the bottom of the class - I have been completely able to just see them as ways of moving that I am not used to, and therefore I should practice - exactly the way I'm supposed to treat them. But...I admit, I wasn't completely able to not care where I was in comparison to the rest of the class. My real victory is that I was able to see it as a pure positive. You see...
Two: I was in the top 25% in over half the tests. And, in fact, I was the last person standing in the final test (wall sit duration) - I didn't drop until over a full minute after the person before me. This is the first time I have EVER been at the top of ANY item on ANY assessment in ANY kind of workout class.
It wasn't even close to the best I've done on wall sits, either; I'm still a little sick right now.
It's worth mentioning, my classmates range in skill level from total couch potatoes to to soldiers to semi-professional athletes. And...I'm keeping up. I never thought this day would come.34 -
@aerochic42 I used this to shorten the bra band: http://hourglassy.com/2011/08/leahs-second-column-shrinking-a-bra-band/
I used her method for how to fold the band, but did not do any hand sewing. Instead, I just used a zig zag stitch on my machine and voila! A better fitting bra in 10 minutes!8 -

But that's assuming the cups are still okay, right?2 -
I did a 'roll up' at my Pilates class last night for the first time...yeah!!!!

I hurt my knee on the 6th and have been out of running while the swelling went down this week. Doctorcleared me to run starting today and I went for a 1.5 mile gentle run. A few things are victory here
1. 1.5 miles was a gentle easy run not horrible and hard
2. I went back to running instead of using this as an excuse to binge on cookies and chips and hang on the couch
3. I listened to the doctor for the week off.32 -
My too tight pants from spring are falling off. I feel and look more like my old healthy self26

Gave away the coupons for free sandwiches from McDonald's and free corn dogs which were in the swag bag from my race to neighborhood kids. Trying not to be annoyed that everything in there was for food I don't want anywhere near me as a diabetic on a diet.15

- Loft size 10 pants that were too tight on me are now loose
- Bought a Loft size small jean jacket that fits perfectly (talk about vanity sizes!)
- Fit comfortably into H&M size 10 shorts
- Bought my first sports swimsuit (as opposed to using one that's meant to disguise/flatter my shape)
- My waist has gone from 34.5 inches to 29.5 inches (under 30!)
- My hips have gone from 44.5 inches to 39.5 inches (under 40!)35 -
My husband mentioned my legs are looking slimmer. It's funny how he notices them, considering I think my legs are fine already and don't count progress as such until I see it on my belly xD But yeah, once he said something I noticed it too. Thigh gap getting more prominent and all that....but the belly! Oh the belly!20

Yes! Changing the cups on a bra is basically impossible. Well, depending on the bra. If it's a bralette then it's quite easy but if it's a bra with an underwire then you'd have to pu in a smaller underwire and it isn't worth the effort. That's a lot of work and can only work if it's a ... what's it called again? Bra without padding? Fabric only, no shape is what I mean.6 -
I was so tired this afternoon. Usually I get my workout out of the way before noon (even if it means I have to do it before 6 am), but I couldn't today. By the time I finished work and everything else, I was yawning and lazy and just wanted to veg out. I convinced myself to go to the gym and do a low-key workout for 30 minutes. Sure enough the endorphins kicked in quickly, and I ended up doing a vigorous workout for 60 minutes. Afterwards I didn't even feel like vegging out anymore!27

Yeeees! High 5! Joining you today in this exact same mindset. Went a bit...grumble grumble short workout that turned into a full one! Wide awake & ready to do some housework...I've already been to work & back. Amazing what a bit of vigorous movement can do!15 -
Several months ago I bought blouse without trying it on. It was the size I usually get and very cute but I didn't have time to try it on. It was too tight.
Today, I decided to wear it over a tank top and just not button it. To my great surprise - I have lost zero pounds since buying it - I fit perfectly. Even over the tank top I buttoned it up and it's perfect.28 -
I just had an assessment with my fitness trainer. After taking my measurements, I learned that I have lost 16 inches from around my waist!57

I binged out on pizza during the hurricane... for three days. I've been working on getting my weight back down since then and today hit my new all time low. It took me 5 days to get back on track. Before - I would have used this excuse to continue binging, given up, and jumped off the bandwagon.
I'm not doing that anymore. Even though I didn't really get a chance to work out like I wanted to (my gym was closed) I still made progress just through CICO. And all this shows me is that even if I binge out for a couple of days, it's not the end of the world. I can still come back from it and make progress!39 -
The scale hasn't moved AT ALL. But! I am sooooo close to needing to adjust my weight belt to one notch tighter. I am extremely pleased.
I had to buy new jeans. With bigger thighs. I am also extremely pleased about that.24 -

This! Right there! I've not had the scale move either but I feel my body is shrinking, what is that? Is it just the weight redistributing? Congrats on being able to wear the blouse, that must be SUCH a great feeling!!15 -

2 NSVs for me today:
Noticed that my forearms are smaller on my drive home last night. Such a weird thing to notice.
Have been out of running due to a knee injury. Coupled with TOM, that's a recipe for binging on chocolate and Netflix. Made it to the gym by telling myself I'd go get Halo Top after spinning. Didn't even end up wanting chocolate and ice cream after!
I used to use this trick for quitting smoking - if I wanted a pack, I could go get one after my run. That's no longer a conversation I have to have with myself!33
